Your fur babies are my priority

Pet care experience

I’ve grown up with cats and dogs all my life and have always enjoyed meeting all of the different personalities that come with every furry face. I currently have three pets of my own, all rescued from the San Diego Humane Society on Gaines Street. Elizabeth was adopted at 8 weeks old. She is now a healthy and loving 6 year old cat who loves to steal my hair ties and “hide” them in her water dish. I was then looking for a hiking companion. As my daughters and I met all sorts of wonderful canine companions, we fell in love with Sydney. She was the only quiet dog in the kennel that day. She had a look upon her sweet face as if she’d given up on life. We learned that she was found as a stray in Balboa Park with a litter of puppies. I wasn’t informed on what happened to them, so I like to imagine that they were taken to happy homes. Though Sydney isn’t a lover of hiking, she is so patient, sweet, and continues to remain quiet. She does have a fun side and gets her zoomies out in our backyard. She’s believed to be about 13 years old. Jack is our newest addition. He was adopted also at 8 weeks old. This little guy is now 7 months (as of March 7,2022) and is fearless! He is full of curiosity and bravery and is the softest kitty I have ever pet and makes a great morning snuggler! Together, they all live in harmony and br ing joy to our lives every day they are with us.

Julie did a fantastic job watching my parrot. She’s very responsible, followed all my care instructions and clearly loves animals. She provided me with several updates while I was traveling and even sent me a video of my happy and well taken care of bird.

Julie is simply AMAZING! She is so friendly and positive that it made me feel comfortable leaving my two dogs with her. I love my dogs like they were my own children and to give them to a random stranger was a very hard for me. However, after talking with her I felt very comfortable and so did my dogs. They were very happy and not stressed at all, when she brought them back, which means she did an excellent job! I would highly recommend her. Julie you are so great! Thank you again so very much!!!

Julie has helped me with the care of dogs, cats, and snakes and has been great with all of them. I would recommend her to help take care of any animal that were in the need of such help!!

My dog Rosie loves Julie and even better, so do I. She is an enthusiastic animal lover who will treat your pet as she would her own. I know that Rosie will be in good hands and happy whenever she is with Julie. Julie is responsible, caring, mature and energetic. Highly recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

Every home is different. When caring for a pet in another’s home, I always make sure I understand their habits and make sure that all escape routes are secured as well as choking hazards if the pet is susceptible to chewing.

Information Julie B. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if they have any social issues to be aware of regarding other animals while out on walks as well as if they are needing any special medication administering.

A typical day

I believe that our pets learn from us and they sense our feelings. It’s important to remain calm and patient with all animals. Play interaction is important for dogs and cats as it’s in their nature to explore. I understand that no animal is the same with regard to what interests them as well as how they interact with others (people and other animals). I prefer to walk them around their own neighborhood to keep them self aware of their surroundings and to be able to build trust with me.
