I accept one at a time 🐶

Pet care experience

Hi, My name is Julie. I have been hosting for a little over 8 years. Currently, I watch one client at a time. I do not have any pets of my own. I also do not have kids. I am home majority of the time and will usually leave for about 4 hours. If your pet requires 24/7 care, please let me know so we can discuss payment options and go over your expectations. Common questions: Do you have other guests dogs at the same time? No, I work my schedule around what I already have booked. How big is your fenced yard? It’s medium sized and I usually stand outside with them to monitor. Do you offer walks? Only if I feel very comfortable with your pet for safety precautions. Cat fee: I am allergic to cats so I charge a little more than I would for a dog. I have many regular clients with cats. House sitting: I usually require a meet n greet if you’re a new client. Preference to not stay in secluded areas in the country for safety. I will follow the schedule you provide. I bring my own belongings, food, or doordash. I don’t use anything without permission or asking first. Safety is very important to me so I will always make sure your house is secure. If you require that I be in your home full time please let me know so we can discuss payment details. Boarding: Pet will have free range of the home. I usually let them be in living room when I leave somewhere until I return. If they have high anxiety, I will sometimes take them with me for a drive if owner is okay with that. Separation anxiety is very common in dogs when they get boarded. Some respond better than others and need more time to get use to me. They usually come around after a few hours. Sometimes it could take them 2-3 days. Refusing to eat when being boarded is also very common but will keep you informed. Senior pet care: Most of my clients have pets that are seniors. I understand they can sometimes be grumpy. I am use to medicines, supplements, and any other medical issue that they need such a insulin shots or heart issues. Puppy/Kittens: I rarely accept puppies or kittens. A meet n greet would be required and my rate is higher since they require a lot more time and energy. How long will my pet be left alone? I am usually gone no more than 4 hours at time. Unless client has special requests. Do you crate animals? No, unless they come with one or is use to sleeping in one at night. Do you have any other jobs? Yes, I do house cleaning on the side. I have a client with an apartment I clean for every Sunday but only takes me 2 hours. I try not to schedule when I’m booked but I will always communicate to make sure client is comfortable.

Julie is an amazing dog sitter! We left our dog Fitz with her for 10 days, and she provided us with daily updates and videos that gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly attentive to Fitz's needs and made sure he had a fun and relaxing stay. We highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for a loving and reliable dog sitter! We look forward to taking our next cruise and using her again!
