Forest adventures and lots of love

Pet care experience

I’ve been looking after dogs in my home since 2014. I studied biology and zoology in University, received training in the practical applications of canine warm water therapy and received my canine hydrotherapy certification. I managed a dog daycare and then a dog walking company in Vancouver before moving to Ottawa. In Ottawa, I owned my own dog walking company (@aquafitdogcare) but closed because of the pandemic. Since then I’ve moved to La Minerve and have been missing my dog friends. I’ve spent a lot of time with power breeds and dogs that need special attention and training (reactive/shy/fearful). My passion for dogs has steered me to educate myself in canine anatomy, physiology, physiotherapy, massage and behaviour. You're pup will likely get a massage from me (if they are comfortable with that). I’m looking forward to creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment for your dogs!

Julie is caring and loving. Both my dog and puppy (4 months) stayed with Julie for the day and had a blast! They swam and hiked and were very well cared for. They have very different personalities and both did very well. Unfortunately there was an accident en route and I was able to arrange a later pick up which put me at ease. I highly recommend Julie and would book again when I’m the area.

Julie is the absolute best dog sitter….. very kind, knowledgeable, conscientious and considerate. Our Simba received so much love and exercise and a few swims too! We wish she lived closer to Ottawa as she would be our “ go to” person every time we needed dog care! Simba was only with Julie for 24 H but when she stopped by 3 days later to drop off a forgotten dog bowl, Simba greeted her with such excitement… a true testament to her kindness and care. We highly recommend her and will contact her again whenever we are in the Tremblant area. Thank you Julie❤️

Julie is a very kind and loving young lady. Her talents are many but one of her strongest is how she can relate and understand dogs. I have witnessed how Julie can calm down an anxious dog, sit calmly beside an abused pup, feed and care for stray dogs, but most importantly believe that all dogs need love. Julie has grown up with dogs beside her all her life and she makes her life all about the love of dogs.
