Pet care experience
I am currently enrolled in an online master's degree program, so I can come to your home and be there to give your pets plenty of love and attention while you are away. My husband and I had at least one dog for most of our 25 years together, but I haven't had pets of my own since he passed away in late 2018, so I miss that wonderful doggy companionship. As a single person with no children, dog sitting helps fill that gap in my life. Further reasons why I am a great house and pet sitter include: -I'm responsible and dependable, and I will respectfully care for your home as well as doting on your your canine/feline companions. -I've lived many years as a traveling vagabond, so I'm at home in unfamiliar settings. -I'm a pretty calm and mellow person, which puts animals at ease. -But not too mellow! I love getting outside, walking, and being healthy, so I will be motivated to make sure your dogs get the daily exercise they need. While I have far more experience with dogs, I also enjoy the company of cats and would be happy to care for your feline friends, too.

Before sitting a dog, I would like to know: -Their feeding regime -Daily routine -Where we can go for walks -How they are with other dogs (aggressive, shy, etc) -How they are with people -What kind of treats I can give them -What toys are available
A typical day
I love getting out and walking, and I know that dogs also love and need that on a regular basis. If your dog loves to fetch, I'll toss balls for them until one of us can't do it anymore. If they're not so keen on retrieving balls, I'll find some other activity to engage in with them and have fun. There will also be plenty of tummy rubs, scratching behind the ears, and other hands-on showing of affection while I am staying with your pets.
