I am twenty-three years old and have lived with dogs since birth. I don't currently have a dog but pictured in most of my photos is my parents' terrier Flora! I single-handedly trained Flora in both house breaking, obedience, and tricks. I fostered an elderly beagle from the SPCA for a summer and helped her overcome skittishness outside of the shelter. It took time to get her comfortable around me but it was worth it when she was finally able to relax and sleep in my bed. I understand dogs and their behavior well and I can be very patient with them. It is a privilege to care for other people's dogs because I gain so much joy from spending time with them and I understand the amount of trust that goes into letting someone else care for your pooch. I love all animals and have volunteered for the Montanova Stables Foundation, helping care for horses and teaching children about horsemanship and grooming. I am comfortable around large and small animals!
