Caring and Responsible Sitter

Pet care experience

I've had a love for dogs since I was born (but who doesn't??), and after begging my parents to get a dog, we had gotten our first dog Riley as a puppy. I took a active role in training her throughout her puppy-hood and into her adult life (including crate training). When my family got our second dog, Paisley, I learned, once again, how to train a puppy, but also about dog-to-dog relationships, and how to deal with a dog that is a diva (paisley will and forever be one). I have 5, almost 6 years of experience with my dogs, training them, playing with them, and loving them. I also have experience with difficult dogs, such as paisley, or stubborn ones, such as Riley, and I am excited to meet your own floofer.

Juliana is a very loving dog person and owns two dogs of her own, both with completely different personalities. Any dogs I’ve seen interact with her love her, and she is always as excited to see them as they are to see her. She is able to get along with every dog. If I had a dog I would have no problem trusting her to properly care for them and give them love and affection while I’m away.

Safety, trust & environment

My house, is very relaxed environment. My family loves dogs and they are always coming and going to the house. We have a couple of nearby dog parks, that are fenced in. My family has an electric fence around our yard. Unless your dog is trained for an electric fence, I wouldn't recommend using at-home services from me.

A typical day

I love taking my dogs on hikes, specifically a trail in Redding, CT. It is one of the trails on the Aspetuck Land Trust that is through the woods with hills. I also like to play with the dogs at home. I can adapt to the dogs preferable game, wether that be tug-of-war or fetch or any other game. If your dog likes to go jogging, there is a dog-friendly trail that I like to jog on. There is many safe dog parks in the area that I frequently visit also.

I am currently part-time at Housatonic Community College, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pups on my days off and between classes. I'm typically at school all day Tuesday and Thursday, but I am willing to come help your family out any other day of the week!
