Two sitters for the price of one! We are a happy, loving couple living in Berkeley with our own young (dog)child, Wilkie. Between us we have about 20 years of experience with dogs. We lead active lives and consider ourselves experienced in the outdoors. We hike often in the surrounding area, and try to go camping or traveling as often as our schedules allow. JULIAN is a 29 and works part time in SF. He’s had dogs most of his life-- specifically Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. He finds the opportunity to play with dogs on the side is a natural fit to his personality and way of life. He often finds he’s happiest when out in nature with dogs by his side. KAROLINA is 30, and usually works from home. She has had two great dogs in her life and her dog parenting confidence, patience, and attentiveness is quickly apparent. Karolina often goes jogging in the morning, and makes it a point to take along Wilkie or one of our boarding dogs along for the ride. On days when Julian goes to work, Karolina is home for the dogs and provides all the love and play they need. AS A TEAM: We are patient and gentle dog lovers. We have attended dog training classes with Wilkie, and follow a very strict regimen of activities and training, loaded with positive reinforcement. Our favorite pastime is taking dogs on hikes in the beautiful Bay Area. Sibley and Tilden Parks are our favorite local destinations, along with Point Isabel, Albany Bulb, and Cesar Chavez Park. For longer trips we have taken dogs to Point Reyes, Pacifica, Muir Woods, or Marin Headlands. WILKIE THE DOG: Wilkie is a good boy. He loves playing with other dogs, swimming to fetch his squeaky tennis ball, hiking, and running along side the bike. SERVICES: BOARDING- We do board dogs in our home. We live in a peaceful two bedroom home in South Berkeley, with a big fenced-in backyard, as well as a smaller fenced-in front yard. Boarding dogs will join Wilkie in his daily routine- eating, playing, and sleeping on the same schedule. We encourage people to bring their own pet beds along so their dog can sleep comfortably as if they were in their own home. *Please note: if you drop your dog in the am and pick your dog up in the pm, we will add a daycare charge. Boarding fees are for a 26 hr maximum period. WALKING- We will come to your place and take your pup for a nice rigorous walk around the neighborhood. Hopefully we can find a nearby park and have a chance to toss a ball or frisbee around for some good exercise. HIKING- This is what we live for! If we could exclusively hike with the dogs we care for, we'd be very happy campers. Our hikes range from 1-3 hours and we charge $40 for this service. We are available most days...just check with us about availability! At the end of the day, we see this as an incredible opportunity to do what we love, while earning extra some cash to supplement our incomes. We love dogs, and we feel privileged to be afforded the luxury of spending even more time with them.
