Pet care experience
My name is Julia, but I frequently go by Jules! In addition to caring for your lovely pets, I am also a casualty assistance officer for the United States Army during the week. So about 1-2 hours of my day I attend a funeral detail and I do the folding and presentation of the American flag to the next of kin for a fallen Soldier - so since I am home 90% of the day, I can guarantee excellent care and attention to your beloved fur babies! In the past, I worked as a Veterinary Technician (so if your pet needs some extra loving attention, I am here for you!). Even though my current career is no longer in the vet field, I spent so much time and education there that I don't want to let my love for animal care go. I love helping people and taking care of their animals more than anything. <3 Before I jumped into the sciences of a Vet Tech, I worked in the hospital for a Doggie Daycare and Boarding Kennel. So I am very familiar with many aspects of animal behavior! I also self train my dogs and can offer training services. I have taken care of neighborhood pets for the past 8-9 years. One of my clients was a 120 pound St Bernard named Archie, so big dogs are absolutely doable as well and I am extremely comfortable with them! In addition to Military Funeral Honors - I also currently serve in the US Army Reserves as a Military Police Officer - so I am extremely active! Taking Dogs on walks is one of my favorite things to do! (Hot or Cold, Rain or Shine) I have had dogs in my life since I was very young. My current 'family member is a 6-year-old German Shepherd named Soot. Some people call him 'just a dog', I call him my son ;) I am also extremely comfortable with 'caution' dogs and cats, or my furry friends who are a bit more on the 'nervous' side of things. Having worked in a daycare and kennel, I worked side by side with multiple dog trainers and learned a lot about animal behavior! I look forward to meeting you and your pets!!
Reviews
Julia has been amazing every time! She came early to meet my dog, and now my first dog passed away but we trust her fully to care for our new baby. I trust her in our home and to care for my baby as if she was her own. She always sends me an update and at least one photo every visit! I highly recommend Julia!
Julia (Jules) is amazing. Even my most shy kitty has now a welcomed Julia. She nor only takes great care of pur 3 cats, but cleans up after feeding and cleaning g the litter.
Julia is the best, my pup Merlot loves her. Julia is very trustworthy and she’s always excited to walk/watch Merlot. We are so happy to have her whenever we’re out of town or Merlot needs some mid-day love.
Julia was super communicative and very friendly! Will definitely book again!

Information Julia V. would like to know about your pet
I always, always require Veterinary Information in the event of an emergency as well as if your pet has any allergies - so I know not to bring certain treats! I always ask for an emergency contact as well. I don't ever anticipate emergencies ever happening - but I always like to be prepared for them! I also like to do a meet and greet a few days before, just so your pet can get familiarized with myself and my scent with you around.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for long walks through parks such as Valley Forge National Historical Park, as well as the McKaig Nature Center trail. I love playing fetch, tug of war, and also... cuddling. I'm a gigantic snuggler, as you can probably tell by the photo of myself and Soot above. If you would like the 'Rover Card' option, just let me know! But photos are always a guarantee (unless you prefer not to receive them!)
