I’m studying animal science with a concentration in physiology and biology. I have a lot of experience with pets as I’ve owned a dog & a cat. I also used to house/pet sit for friends every summer and for holidays! I grew up riding horses and caring for farm animals so I have a lot of experience with barn pets as well :)

I had a great experience with Julia and would absolutely use her in the future. She stayed in my home and cared for my two dogs for 4 nights over the Christmas holiday allowing me to visit family. She kept me updated on my dogs’ behavior and sent lots of pictures. I returned to a clean home and happy dogs. 5/5, absolutely recommend.
Julia is outstanding! So conscientious and thorough with her care of my pets. She is thoughtful and kind-sends superb updates-with photos of my pets.
This is the third time Julia has worked with Arya. Her work was great as usual and she got Arya her appetite back!
Julia's inexperience and unprofessional conduct resulted in a negative experience. She did not follow the written guidelines regarding the care of the animals and then requested additional money halfway through her housesitting stay, despite being paid in full in advance at the rate she established on her profile. It was unclear if she intended to complete the job she had contracted for and we were traveling and unable to return home. She stopped sending updates on the animals when I declined to pay her more and refused additional compromises offered to her to resolve the difficulty she was having. Upon my return home, I found her dirty dishes in the sink, two of the beds in my house unmade, and empty food containers in the refrigerator. She had met my dogs in advance of her stay and said she felt certain she was able to care for them. I have had other individuals watch my dogs and never had anyone complain about them. This is unfortunate and I cannot recommend her services to anyone.

The pup in my profile pic is my 10 year old cockapoo who now lives with my mom in my hometown! While she lived with me at college, I walked her around the block and/or campus 2-3x a day. I don’t crate her, so I don’t own any but if your pup is more comfortable being crated, you’d just have to bring one for them!

Please feel free to let me know if your pup has any special needs, daily medications, or specific schedules that I should be following/account for. It would also be helpful to know if they’d be more comfortable without the presence of any other pets.
A typical day
I’d love to take pups to dog parks (if they’re comfortable with it), hikes, walks around campus, and anywhere else you suggest that could be fun for us to do :). I have a lower energy senior dog so we don’t do many of the fun doggo activities and I’d be more than happy to do them with yours!

Availability
I’m currently a student with loads of down time as I do all of my school work/studying at home. I also have my own car so transportation isn’t a limitation. I go on morning walks if not daily, then most days so I figured taking care of pups would be a great way to get my daily steps in!
