Pet care experience
I have owned golden retrievers all my life and live in a big dog-loving family. My family has raised two litters of pups and currently have 4 dogs at home. While I was growing up, we fostered many animals from the ASPCA. I now own a 4 year old certified service dog and have experience with administering medications and basic vet care. I am a junior at Hampshire College in MA and I study animal psychology. I love all dogs! The bigger the better! I love being outside and going for walks. One of my favorite activities with my dog is going to the dog park and I plan on being in the Ithaca area until at least August! Currently, I am available most hours of everyday!

Julia always arrives a little ahead of schedule to allow us to go about our business in a timely manner. She is a calm and responsible presence. Spencer loves Julia.
Julia did a great job watching our mini goldendoodle. It was our first time leaving her and Julia was confident and comfortable with her. Her house is very dog friendly and our dog loved being able to use the dog door to be outside in the large fenced yard. Julia even gave her a bath for us before pickup since it was a muddy week in Ithaca. We have already booked our dog for another stay.
My dog really loved spending time with Julia in our house. She had come once to meet him and when she returned to pet sit him, he greeted her at the door with tail wags and smiles. She was prompt and is always very responsive when I ask her for more appointments. I've already booked her again. Julia is the best!

I prefer larger breeds of dogs but am slightly flexible. I like to know the dog's energy level, daily habits, and any special care instructions before I sit them so that I can best provide for them while their owners are away.
A typical day
I currently live in a house with dog-doors that lead into a very well-fenced 2 acre backyard. There is a 20minute trail through the woods leading out of the back of my house that I walk my dogs on at least twice a day (on leash or off). I also like walking my dogs along the lake so they can go swimming in the summer.
