Pet care experience
I'm a mom to a big mutt who is my whole life and given me lots of experience with dogs. I've handled daily walks, feeding, training, emergency vet trips, and more for the past 7 years. I also have experience with all size dogs thanks to volunteering at the PSPCA. I can handle any quirks/fears/likes that your dog has and will follow instructions diligently. I know the stress because I use Rover for my own dog when I'm away! In my non-dog life, I'm a law student who is just working over the summer. I have a little more time between semesters so I'm ready to branch into walks in the early morning or evening, and can help on the weekend. I look forward to meeting new friends and taking care of them while you're busy!

Julia is a wonderful and loving dog-mom! She has had her pit-mix for 5 years since she rescued him, and has been caring for and training him with tons of love and affection ever since. She has made great progress getting him to a healthy weight and working on his interactions with other dogs. She is extremely responsible, reads up on dog care and training all the time, volunteers with the SPCA and has volunteered with several other animal rescue organizations in the past. She probably cares about nothing more in this world than dogs. She extremely thoughtful about dog-care issues and will be a responsible and loving dog caregiver!
Don't think twice about hiring Julia to take care of your pooch! I've known her for many years and throughout our friendship she has volunteered at numerous shelters and devoted her heart to train her lovable 80 pound pitbull-mix rescue. We often leave our pup with her. She cares deeply and is one of the most responsible (just last week, she brought a frightened stray dog from a street to a shelter) and organized people I know.
Julia is incredible with dogs. She is patient and caring, and willing to put the time and effort into giving a dog the proper care and training it needs. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I love all breeds (especially pits!). I would love to know if your dog knows any tricks or commands, and has any likes or dislikes. I want to set your dog and myself up for success by keeping their schedule and behavior as regular as possible.
A typical day
I am happy to go on long, sniffing walks, or put on my running shoes to go for a (light!) jog with your high energy dog. I can also prepare treats and toys to help keep them busy (yummy kongs or treat filled toys), or practice the commands they know to keep their mind engaged using only positive reinforcement.
