Hello! My name is Julia and I’m so excited you’ve decided to check out my profile! I have been around cats & dogs my whole life but in the Spring and Summer of 2015 I was a dog sitter for three wonderful chow chows in a home near me, two of which were quite large. I ended up loving it! This is where I began my experience with dog sitting. I have always been an animal lover, especially for dogs and I am extremely patient and understanding. I can do just about any task you ask of me! While spending a year of college in California I volunteered for an event called Santa Paws, all proceeds going towards the local no kill shelter in Ojai, CA. I am very active so playing with and walking your dog will not be a problem! I love to send photos as daily updates and have a lot of experience with medications, injuries/disabilities, potty training, etc. as well as a ton of experience with very large dog breeds! Unique pets I also have experience with: birds, fish, and geckos/lizards/chameleons! I would love to take care of your pet for you and bring you some peace of mind! :)

Julia was great! I had a last minute need for someone to come let my dog out and she quickly responded, confirmed and made it over to let Crosby out, take him for a walk and play with him a bit. Very personable too!
Julia is absolutely amazing! My dog is recovering from a broken leg and she was very attentive of her needs. My job requires me to be up super early and Julia was right there ready to take Hazel. She trained with her, played with her, fed her and made her feel comfortable. It was my first time in Pittsburgh and I’m so glad I found Julia. She made the trip much easier.
I used Julia when I went on vacation out of the country for 8 days. She took excellent care of our 3 dogs. I will definitely hire her again.

When I started this job, I quickly realized my clients weren’t just entrusting me with a family member, but also their entire home! I respect everyone’s property as if it were my own. I am very careful with passcodes as well as locking gates and doors behind me so that safety and security is never an issue. I will never use any rooms or objects that are off limits, and anything used (such as dishes, floors, doors & door handles etc) will always be freshly cleaned and wiped down upon your arrival. If you have any questions or concerns I am always responsive and take all of my clients thoughts carefully into consideration.

I love all types of dogs! And I have experienced almost every kind. Things that would be helpful for me to know so that your furry family member and I get along best would be things like: 1. Are they food territorial? 2. Are they prone to jump or bite? 3. Are they allowed on the furniture/in certain rooms? 4. Do they get along with other animals? 5. Do they require medication or special needs of any kind? As long as you let me know things like these, I can absolutely accommodate and be 100% prepared!
A typical day
We can go on walks really anywhere they'd like! If there are parks or trails through forests near you, I would love to explore them with our K9 friend! If they don't mind a quick drive, the possibilities are endless. If they aren't so good in the car, a game of fetch or tug of war in the backyard or living room is great too, and a walk around the development or neighbourhood will be good for them. And, well, if they are good off leash we might play some fetch by a local lake or river to keep their aquatic skills polished :)

As of right now, my schedule is completely free and open! Which is great as that gives me the freedom to continue whatever schedule your furry friend is already on :) Whether they like to sleep in, or get up early, or have meds and meals at certain times, you can have confidence in me that they will never experience any anxiety as things will remain the same☺️
