Pet care experience
I love pets! I have had 2 - 3 dogs since 1986, have been dog sitting for that long also, and have reliable transportation - An SUV that can carry a large dog, if necessary. I have a home with a fenced yard and doggy doors. I am retired so have no time restraints and an abundance of experience. Most of my experience is with medium-size dogs (30-65 lbs) but small dogs and large dogs are welcome as well. My rates for services are flexible, tailored to your needs and quite reasonable. Giving medication to an animal requires patience and a compassionate hand, and I can provide that. I live on the west side of Houston, and am convenient to IH-10, US 59 and HWY 6 and Beltway 8.

I was Julia’s first rover appointment.Julia is very sweet and good with the animals. I was having trouble receiving updates on her check in and check out times but I think she’s learning the Rover app. She was on time to all of her appointments. She was very warm towards my animals. This was her first time watching cats but I think she learned a lot!
Julia is a very caring and affectionate sitter, she loves dogs and treats them as family. She is also a very responsible and lovely person. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter.
Julia did a great job for us sitting our two dogs. She was very punctual, reliable and genuinely cared for our dogs. It was clear that they loved her as well. We had zero concern for the well being of our dogs while we were gone on our trip.
Julia has dog sat my dogs for at least 15 years. She has always taken really good care of them and loved them. She definitely can be trusted to care for them and to give them attention I’ve always had 2 dogs at a time. She has always helped me out when I needed a sitter. If I had meds to give them she took care of that too. She is a very responsible and caring sitter

A typical day
I live very close to Terry Hershey Park, which has secluded and scenic walking/hiking trails. I can walk pets there or on neighborhood streets in low-traffic secluded neighborhoods. There are also 2 off-leash dog parks within 2 miles of my house for extended off-leash play.
