Hello! I was born into a family with 2 dogs and almost always had a dog in the house until I went away to college. While in college I started volunteering with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue as a dog handler at adoption events, and post-college I began fostering (dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats) with them. I was even sent to Thailand to accompany six dogs back to the US for Lucky Dog. The past two years I have also been a local tour guide for Lucky Dog allowing out-of-town visitors to learn about downtown DC and the mall while walking rescue dogs. I enjoy photography so you will definitely get some (maybe too many!) photos of your pet while they stay with me. I also have my own crate, toys, and pen if needed. I am happy to help with any training skills you're working on with your pet. I live in a 1-bedroom condo, and our community has plenty of green space as well as being close to trails. Although my preference is animals under 40 pounds, I will consider larger dogs if they are not as active or elderly - I want to be fair to you and the dog with my home.
