I have had dogs, cats, and fish since I was 10 years old. Unfortunately, I do not have any dogs right now. Our sweet ZuZu, a 16 year old Boston Terrier, died last summer--she just gave out. And our sweet Sophie, a 15 1/2 year old Boston, died this past June from a series of strokes. Prior to these two great little dogs, we had two Corgis--Guinness & Stout. And way back when.... we had cats. It's been a very long time since we've not had a pet in our home. I'm hoping that I will be interact with pets on Rover and get some "animal satisfaction" back in my life. We are looking for another Boston Terrier at this time, we miss the fun and companionship. I believe that first you take care of your pets, then yourself. I have watched the dogs/cats/fish/guinea pigs of family, friends, and two of my neighbors for years. Because animals rely on humans for everything, I care for animals seriously and with commitment. This is an awesome responsibility. One, to gain your trust as an animal owner and two, to be an outstanding caretaker. I embrace both challenges seriously. In addition to attention, exercise, walking, and feeding, I give animals positive encouragement and love.
