I LOVE Other People's Pets!

Pet care experience

I've pet sat off and on for over 15 years and regularly for the past 9. I live in a 1 bedroom apt. with my boyfriend in Sunnyside/LIC border not far from a couple of parks. After my sweet 16 year old cat passed away, I decided to volunteer at a local animal shelter. That was about 6 years ago. I am on the list for Brooklyn ACC as a part time foster mom where I also completed a prerequisite online course on animal care and safety. I am a former junior volunteer at Liberty Humane Society. I would only foster if I am not already dog sitting. I have taken dog walking and general animal care, kitten care and antisocial animal care courses at Liberty humane and they've taught me some helpful pointers in terms of animal care health and safety! I love to spend time with all shapes, ages and sizes of animals, assist in training them (especially walk training) and want to surround myself with clientele that cares about a quality experience for their pets. I've had the honor and pleasure to work with seniors and special needs animals.

Jude is awesome! I was completely new to Rover (read: extremely nervous) and needed to find a sitter in walking distance who could board my two cats (“the boys”) for Christmas. Jude was super warm, accommodating, and incredibly responsive. We chatted via FaceTime upon my initial outreach, and we each got the opportunity to visit each other’s apartments before finalizing booking (so happy she got to meet the boys in advance; and they took to her very well!). She offered timely text updates and pictures/videos the entire time she took care of them, and the boys ultimately returned to my home happy and healthy. I would 100% rebook Jude for sitter services!

Jude sent me updated pics of my dog throughout the day and gave me a summary text at the end of her day dog sitting. I was very pleased with the updates and my dog appeared very cozy and content at her place. She babysat my dog in her home for the day while I was at work and provided scheduled walking breaks and his dinner. I can’t say more great things. She was very pleasant and accommodating. Will book her again in the future when needed.

I was very nervous to leave my new puppy with a stranger for the first time, but Jude made the whole thing easy! She was communicative, thoughtful, and professional, sent loads of photos, and basically set my first-time-puppy-parent heart at ease. Would not hesitate to hire her again, and Ginger was delighted by her. Hire her without hesitation!

Jude was a wonderful sitter. My cat is 15 and has some special needs requiring med administration. Jude sent me pictures and updates often which I loved. She made me feel comfortable leaving my furbaby in her hands and my cat seemed to take to her very quickly. I hope to hire her again for future sits.

Information Jude O. would like to know about your pet

No Breed Preference. I love all the animals! I would like to know if they are not spayed/neutered, take medication,or have any other ailment, if they are okay with walking up stairs, are food aggressive and most importantly, I like to know the temperament of the dog and set time aside to meet beforehand if possible. I have no problem administering medication whether it be capsules, intravenous or a topical.

A typical day

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, I know each dog is different and walking needs vary, so whether it’s playing fetch, staying active with them - I've just begun running so do that (with some walking mixed in) I also love hanging out with easy going pups and Seniors who have limited exercise and just want to snuggle!
