I Love Your Dog

Pet care experience

Dogs have always been the best part of my life. My dearest and most cherished friendships have been with the dogs who have graced my life over the years from family members as a child to almost always having my own dog as an adult. I have been a professional dog sitter for 10 years and I now am able to do it full time. I offer boarding, house sitting, drop in visits and occasional or regular dog walking services from your door. Old dogs have a special place in my heart. I’ve had lots of experience caring for their special needs. No walk is too slow to not be worthwhile and there is always plenty of time to stop and smell the roses:) If your dog has trouble with stairs I am happy to house sit rather than board so they can stay in their own environment as there are many steps leading up to my house from the street. I’m happy to housesit rather than board in any case. My dog Ilah accompanies me on housesitting stays. She is the Aussie in my photos - 5 years old, very sweet disposition, well-mannered and gets along well with dogs and humans. I would like to suggest midday walks from your door and/or drop-in visits at your home as good alternatives to daycare if your dogs like to stay home and get out for a walk in their own neighborhood while you’re working, resting or otherwise occupied during the day. They will get the attention they need to make every outing a happy experience. Certified by the American Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR My experience administering medication: orally yes

Joyce and her sweet dog Ilah were wonderful companions for our dog. Joyce was kind, attentive, and really knows dogs well. Our dog isn’t the easiest to handle sometimes, but Joyce took great care of her and knew how to handle a rescue. I’ll be coming back to Joyce for dog care for sure!!

Joyce was great! Good communication, left house immaculate and best of all, Stella had a fun playmate with Ilah while we were gone! Would highly recommend!

Joyce was absolutely lovely! She took wonderful care of our 2 dogs (one is an antique!) as well as the house. I would highly recommend her and would certainly have her stay again.

Joyce is fantastic! Very thoughtful & professional. She was so good & patient with our 15 year old lab who needs assistance with slow walks & meds. We hired Joyce before and will continue to choose her when she’s available. We can relax & feel 100% confident our home and yellow lab are well taken care of while we are out of town. Her dog Ilah is very friendly & well behaved and Stella enjoyed having a playmate around. Highly recommend Joyce for a walk or stay.

Safety, trust & environment

Dogs will be safely on their leashes every time we go outside. We don’t go to dog parks for health and safety reasons but we do take long on-leash walks every day if your dog is able. I prefer a harness to a flat collar and will only walk small - medium sized dogs that know how to walk nicely on a leash.

A typical day

When caring for your dogs I will follow the schedule and routine they are used to. Breakfast, potty outings, snacks, walks, naps, playtime, dinner, and bedtime. We typically take a couple long walks each day and go out first thing in the morning and right before bed. And they will have plenty of time to sniff around and greet new and old friends.
