Pet care experience
I've been working as a veterinary assistant for approximately 7 years and have been pet sitting for friends and family for just as long. I currently work Monday-Friday with an evening break so I am available mornings during the weekdays, I would love to care for dogs who need an extra walk or while their parents get away for the weekend! I enjoy pet sitting and any dog or cat I watch I love as if they were my own. I am willing to travel for pet sitting and have traveled as far as Williamsburg in the past. I care for many pets, so if you have several dogs or cats and don't want to board them for that weekend get away I am here to help!

I prefer to meet the dogs I'm taking care of at least twice before I start that way they can get comfortable with me! I also ask to have their primary vet information and current vaccination records (just in the event an emergency should occur!)
A typical day
I like to fit a dogs routine as much as possible, so wherever they normally go on walks or play time in the back yard. I am happy to go for long hikes if your dog is high energy and up for it. Unless it’s specifically discussed in detail I’m not comfortable taking your dog to the beach or parks.

Availability
I have a full time job but I stay pretty steady with my pet sitting clients. Communication is key. I am able to take a break to let any animals in my care out. Usually gone for 8 hours at a time weekdays. Weekends if I have to leave it’s usually not for more than a couple hours.
