Pet care experience
I grew up in a home with 5 + dogs and cats living under our roof at all times. We adopted puppies, seniors, special needs dogs, and everything in between. I have the requisite knowledge and experience for tending to senior dogs and dogs that require special attention such as eye drops, heart worm medication, skin medication, special nutritional needs, and much more. I am also familiar with Holistic treatments and able to administer same. I currently own one dog, a golden retriever named Henry, who loves everyone. We enjoy field trips to the beach, Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens, and dog park. Whether your doggie is high maintenance or easy breezy, you can be confident that they will be happy and healthy while in my care. All doggies are different so let me know any individual needs your furry friend may have and I am happy to accomodate.

Joy was awesome! I was very nervous to leave my puppy for the first time but Joy and her family made me feel very comfortable. She was very communicative while my puppy was with her and sent lots of pictures which made the stay seem like it flew by. She was very attentive to my puppies needs especially when he wasn't feeling the greatest upon dropping him off. She brought him to the beach and made sure he got plenty of exercise, love, and play time with her dog. I definitely plan on using Joy again and would recommend her to anyone who wants there dog to be very well taken care of while they are away.
This woman is the dog whisperer. She was the only sitter that my dogs would actually sleep with and weren't deathly afraid of(both are adopted from sad conditions and have behavioral problems). She understands what dogs need and knows how to interact. Definitely such a "mom" to dogs and also a really cool person. I have used her for years and I will use no one else. Thanks for everything Joy!

A typical day
My neighborhood has a sidewalk throughout so it is perfect for long walks. I also have a fenced in back yard (not very large but big enough) where the dogs can explore. My dog loves hunting lizards. I also have a little kiddie swimming pool that we can fill up for dogs to splash around and play in. I keep a supply of bones and toys as well and can play games (hide and seek, tug of war, fetch) with your puppy. If your dog is a lap dog, he can sit on the porch swing and sofa with me. Small dogs are allowed to sleep on my bed if the owner prefers.
