Pet care experience
We (Tom and Joy) are a couple in their mid-twenties, parents to Jam, an 8 month old Bedlington terrier cross puppy. We are surrounded by beautiful walks around the large boat we live on and will love having another dog join us for the fun! As well as experience raising Jam we have both grown up with family dogs and often have Tom's parents’ Old English Sheepdog around too. For day sitting and visits, we are able to offer a flexible price based on the length of visit you require and are happy to tend to all of your pets' needs during the visit including cleaning up any accidents etc. As a doctor, nothing phases me!

Joy was very communicative and took good care of Pluto. He definitely had a good time playing with Jam and also a good walk in the nearby woods. Joy also made sure Pluto was clean (as it was a rainy day) when I picked him up end of the day.Thanks Joy.
Joy loves dogs. As a teenager, she gave devoted daily care to her family dog, never missing her daily walks, and giving consistent loving training and discipline, from basic puppy training right up to the Gold Obedience Award. She often enjoyed long walks with a group of friends and their dogs. Joy understands the need to supervise outdoor exercise, so the dog is kept safe, especially around busy roads or other hazards. She keeps a harmonious relationship between her dog and any other people and dogs nearby. She is conscientious in picking up poop. Joy is very reliable and will give your dog all the care and attention it needs, but much more than that, she will absolutely enjoy spending time with your dog. She will listen to you about your dog’s needs and preferences, she will tell you about all the good things that happened in your dog’s day, and will make sure that arrangements run smoothly with good communications between you.
Joy has taken our Old English Sheepdog for walks both in the countryside where we live and at the beach close by. My Dog adores her and senses that Joy is a "doggy" person. She is very hands on giving her tickles, pats and massages which Ola loves. They have great fun playing together.
Joy has looked after my dog Darcy several times and she’s brilliant with her. She is the perfect balance between spoiling her and being strict enough that she doesn’t play up. She never tires of playing with her, despite her being quite a restless pup. Once she took her in the sea and swam with her for ages. 100% recommend her to look after your pooch

We adore dogs and have a great routine your dog will fit into perfectly- a longer walk in the morning to get all the beans out, peaceful time through the early afternoon with regular loo breaks, and another 20 min walk before it gets dark. Jam adores company and will give anyone a run for their money outside! She’s settled inside and we can separate dogs into different rooms if they’re getting wild. We live on a widebeam canal boat so take dogs on the lead down to the grassy areas in our gated marina. We’re just a few minutes from little Britain lake for lovely safe walks.

Please let me know if your dog has any requirements eg medications, training, diet etc and I will happily cater for these. Obviously your dog will need to be happy to share a home with Jam for the day but we can let them meet outside to be sure.
A typical day
We have plenty of toys that Jam will happily share with other dogs such as ropes, kongs etc. We are surrounded by canal walks, an enclosed field at Fray’s River, and longer walks around Little Britain Lake. We tend to walk for up to an hour in the morning and 20 mins in the afternoon but can modify this based on your dogs needs.

I work variable shifts each week and Tom’s work is also unpredictable. We often have Jam in daycare herself so we may not be able to commit to longer care schedules.
