Dog People - Large Fenced Yard

Pet care experience

My husband and I both grew up with dogs. We had a border collie/Aussie mix for 16 years and now have a border collie who loves running and playing with other dogs. We have a large fenced back yard. Our border collie is crate-trained and we have plenty of space in our home for dog visitors and their crates (we require dogs have crates when boarding at our house). We can separate dogs for feeding and rest as needed depending on their normal schedule. We love to send fun photos through the Rover app while your pup is staying with us to keep you in the loop. Dogs that stay with us have fun, are happy and have room to run (and might be tired when they leave from all the attention and playtime). There is an early drop off fee if dropping off before 7:00 am and a late drop ff fee if after 9:00 pm of $10. The same applies to pick up. The dogs are part of our daily routines. As long as the weather is nice, they can play in our fenced yard when we are home. If it's too hot or too cold, we will limit time outside to keep them safe. We ensure they have frequent potty breaks and can manage food as you direct us. Taking care of dogs in a safe manner is important to us. If it is the first time your dog has been a part of our Rover experience, we will arrange a meet and greet before you book to ensure our border collie and your dog get along. We have enough rooms to give the dogs a break from each other as needed for rest. We value the safety of our dog and any visitors we have too. We require a crate for visiting dogs to help with rest and separation from time to time if needed. Our fenced yard is large and secure. We only let dogs outside if we are home to provide supervision.

This was our first time leaving our 8 month old puppy, and Joy made the experience so easy! Updates and pictures daily took the worry out of leaving her, and our puppy had a blast! Would highly recommend joy and her family!

We take great care to ensure the safety of your dog as well as ours. Our fence is secure. We crate and separate our dog and our guest dog at night and when we are not home. We only let them run outside when we are home to supervise. If the dogs need a break from each other, we can separate them in different rooms of the house.

Information Joy H. would like to know about your pet

We require: 1) A crate for your dog, 2) Vaccination record that is current for Rabies, Bordetella, DHLP & Parvo and 3) Notice of any illnesses in the 15 days prior to boarding. If you can provide your dog's food in individual servings (like sandwich bags), that is helpful. Additionally, Let us know if your dog is socialized to be around other dogs. Our preference is to let them have the run of the house as long as we are home or not sleeping. How does he/she let you know it's time to "do their business"? Do you have any medication that needs to be administered or special food?

A typical day

We have a large yard for running, playing fetch and hanging out. We also have hard wood floors downstairs with room to play. Our neighborhood is quiet and great for dog walking. Our border collie is young and loves to run and play with other dogs. In the evenings, the dogs settle in and lounge around the living room usually tired from a fun day of play. We love dogs. We are dog people.
