I work from home-love dogs & people

Pet care experience

I am reliable and responsible, with attention to detail. I love dogs; hanging out with them, walking around the neighborhood with them, and playing. My profession as a bodyworker means I do manual manipulation on people in order to help injuries heal and bring about improved alignment. I make my own schedule and can build in time to do visits and walks. Some of my clients bring their dogs with them to sessions with me, and then I negotiate with the dogs if they want to be worked on, too. Often they do! It's really fun giving love to dogs this way. I just melt in how dogs show their appreciation for life with lots of kisses and leans.

Joy is a companion to all animals, never viewing them as owned but as creatures who give and need love and support. A pet owner herself, Joy's devotion to her cat Jefferson is so adorable. On the logistical side, Joy has a strong business sense and work ethic that will ensure timely and professional service at all times.

Information Joy C. would like to know about your pet

I need to know how the dog responds to cats. I have two cats that are fine with dogs, and if the dog is aggressive. I can’t have the pets interact. I also need any pets boarded to be okay with sleeping in a crate.

A typical day

We’ll walk at the park in the morning, play in the backyard, eat and then sleep. Around lunchtime, another round of play and a bathroom break in the backyard. And then that cycle repeats once or twice more until the before-dinner walk. Dogs get a bathroom break right before going to sleep in later evening.

My dog knows my work-from-home routine, so another dog could fit right in. Walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, food are all taken care of. I see clients about three or four times a day, so dogs always love saying hi and welcoming new people into the space.
