As a stay-at-home mom, I have plenty of time and attention to give, so I can provide consistent care and supervision. My kids are at school all day so I’ll have that 1:1 time with your furbaby! Dogs in my care enjoy playtime in my spacious backyard, walks to the nearby dog park (Heather Park) and plenty of cuddles and attention. I can accommodate regular drop-off and pick-up times and provide updates so you always know your dog is happy and safe.

It’s really helpful for me to know your pet’s routine, personality, and energy level—what they love, what makes them nervous, and how they usually behave on walks or at home. Please also let me know about any allergies, medical needs, or medications, as well as how they are with other dogs, people, or distractions like bikes and squirrels. If there are any specific commands they know, quirks they have, or things that make them extra happy (or stressed), I’d love to know so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. The more I understand your pet, the better I can care for them like my own 💛
A typical day
I love making sure dogs have the BEST time while they’re with me! I’m all about long, fun walks—if your pup has lots of energy, we can go on little adventures all the way to Olympic Village and around the seawall 🐾 I love playing fetch, hyping them up for zoomies, and just being silly and playful with them so they can really burn off that energy. I also make sure to mix in sniff breaks and chill time, depending on their vibe. Whether your dog is a playful goofball or more of a relaxed explorer, I’ll match their energy and make sure they feel happy, safe, and totally loved while you’re away 💛

Hi! I’m Jowena — a stay-at-home mom and lifelong dog lover based in Cambie Village, Vancouver. I used to have a Chihuahua and have always loved having dogs around. I’ve missed that joy and am excited to spend time with your furry friend. I provide personalized care for dogs, including walks ( I LOVE walks!), playtime, feeding, and plenty of cuddles. Your dog’s safety is my top priority, and we have a fully fenced backyard where they can safely run and play. I particularly enjoy caring for non-shedding or low-shedding breeds, which works best in our home environment. As a new Rover provider, I’m focused on giving undivided attention and a stress-free experience for every dog. I’m happy to offer trial visits or short stays to help you feel confident leaving your dog with me. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your dog is happy and comfortable. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and make them feel right at home!

Jowena is a natural when it comes to furbabies! She is amazing with them. She is more than capable of entertaining and keeping my pup busy. I fully trust her with my furbaby - which is so important to me. My pup is very selective with certain people, the fact Jowena was able to gain her trust and feels comfortable around her. Jowena is very gentle and very passionate. You can tell she is an animal lover. I highly recommend Jowena! Very pleased with her.
