Pet care experience
From a young age (about 11 or 12) I have adopted, harbored, watched, and nursed animals in New Hampshire and Maine. From taking care of parakeets and cockatiels with my grandmother, humanely trapping injured animals to receive care, and soothing anxious animals wary of humans I always make sure that I see the whole animal. I have taken care of many species of dog--from tiny chihuahuas to your big floofs. I have experience building trust with anxious animals and understand how my mood, voice, demeanor, and stance can affect animals. In addition to this skill, I have experience exercising through play, walking animals (even cats!), feedings, bathings (again, cats too!), and supervision. You can rest assured that when your animal is with me they will be safe, happy, and loved. Currently, I own two cats (Merlin and Thoreau). They are spoiled with love, the healthiest treats, the best toys, and lots of mental/physical stimulation.

Josline was a lifesaver! I have a super sweet, but also reactive pit mix that has never been left with non-family since he was adopted 4 years ago. As much as we love our pups, my partner and I would, however, like to travel on our own at times. Before diving into longer vacations, we scheduled a trial night with Josline and it went swimmingly. She was attentive and appropriately informed herself during a quick meet&greet, leaving me feeling much better about leaving my pup with a stranger. When she arrived for the overnight, she handled having both of our dogs enthusiastically greet her with calm confidence, asked good questions, and was super respectful of our personal space. After my initial reluctance to leave our Charlie (bc I'm crazy, not bc I didn't trust Josline), my fears subsided. Josline sent updates with lots of pictures and I was about to quickly see that Charlie was settling in with her just fine. She was also amazing about leaving things as she found them in the house (although I do hope she made herself at home while here!). We definitely plan to use Josline again if her availability lines up with our needs. I can't speak for everyone's needs, but Josline met and exceeded ours. SO grateful to have found her!
Joslin has been wonderful staying in clear communication with me and working with my dog in a way that works best for him. She was very thorough when making sure she had all the needed information, and keeps me appraised of how he responds to visits.
Thank you for taking such good care of Milo. With him having to be home because of vet recommended restricted activity, we were able to go to work and not worry about who was going to take care of him. ❤️

I believe that building/maintaining trust, routine, and habits with animals is vital to their overall care. For many people, the connection with their animals transcends the title of “pet”. Pets are companions–family– and deserve the necessary care as such. Communicating this care to pet owners is essential to avoid misunderstandings or causing unnecessary anxiety. Just as building trust with the animals is important, I believe it is equally important to build that trust with customers. This means that I am very detailed-oriented. Schedules, rules, procedures will never be ignored and always followed as directed. When you leave your pet with me, feel safe knowing that I will love and care for them as if they were my own fur babies.

A typical day
I love to go on trail walks and hikes but I understand that not everyone feels comfortable having a new person take their dog off property. In that case--lots of running around, fetch, command/recall practice, etc.

I am available for walking, check-ins, and overnight boardings (at the owner's home) either during the week or on weekends! Unfortunately, I cannot offer to board at my place of residence at this time.
