Pet care experience
I’ve been working in animal rescue and rehabilitation with my mom since I was ten, and am now in college looking for a part-time job I know I already love and am good at! I have three large dogs of my own back home, and a ton of experience with many other animals as well, including cats (I have six of my own), chickens, cows, and horses. I’m available as long as classes are in session and on all weekends, but will return home for the winter holidays in January and for summer vacation June-August. I go to Bard college and am very close to most towns and villages. I also drive a large minivan, so I’m mobil and can transport large or small animals if needed for an emergency or just a day out.

Josiah took care of our pups while we were away for the weekend and we couldn't be happier! She took them for walks and gave them plenty of much needed attention and love. The pictures were perfect too. We're so glad we found Josiah and we'll call her again!
Josiah is top-notch! Our pups were well taken care of during our trip and were calm when we arrived home. Josiah did a wonderful job communicating with us prior to our travel days and also during our trip. Plenty of pictures and updates to keep us informed. Amazing job!!
Josiah was great. She took excellent care of Frank and Winnie.
Josiah watched our pup and two cats for a week and we would absolutely book her again! Everyone was happy and well-cared for. The house looked great when we came back and she even took care of my daughters' little fairy terrariums! They were very appreciative to come home to see those were still thriving. She sent pics but didn't spam us on vacation which I appreciated. The pics she did send were great though. 100% would book again.

My family owns a five acre property on which we keep our two dogs, chickens, and a veggie garden! I am extremely covid safe because I take care of my younger siblings at home, so to this end I will also only accept boarding requests for dogs and cats who don’t mind children (for everyone’s safety and peace of mind).

I have no breed preference, I just need to know your dog’s temperament before meeting them for the first time so I know how we can best get along and get to know each other!
A typical day
Growing up with large dogs, I’m not afraid of any breed or size and am happy to go out for walks in the yard, around the neighborhood, or we can even drive to campus and play with other dog-loving college kids if your puppy is working on safe socialization.

Availability
I am working part time from home during this pandemic and so I’m often available for any pet walking or house sitting needs. I wake up early to take care of my family’s dogs, so my schedule is already dominated by furry friends.
