Pet care experience
I've spent my entire life with dogs and animals of all sizes. I grew up with three wonderful Doberman pincers. I have pet sat for friends and family for years. I have been on Rover for nearly 4 years and encourage you to read as many reviews as you like. It is a privilege to take care of your pet and I want you to feel safe and confident. I have trained and cared for dogs, cats, and horses. My day job is supporting the fight against Rhino poaching in Africa and I will bring that same passion for the well being of animals to my time with your beloved pet! I'll make sure your dog has as much fun with me as I will with them! I have experience with dogs of all ages, and will tailor my time with your pet to fit their needs--a leisurely stroll for an elderly friend all the way up to jogging with an athletic youngster. I can't wait to meet your best friend!

Josh was incredibly kind, sweet and considerate of my pet. I have never used Rover before and when I came across Josh’s profile with over 40 5-star reviews, I was still apprehensive. I talked to him prior to the booking and he even connected me with his regular clients to hear their testimonies. Josh took care of my fur baby like he was his own. I have a pet camera and I got to see small clips of the reunions my pet had with Josh and he was SO HAPPY. My dog tends to be sad over my absence and he loses his appetite during boarding/in my absence but he ate well this entire booking. FINISHED EVERY MEAL. His tail also wagged like a crazy windmill any and every time Josh came to visit and Josh showered him with so much love. He made sure that not only was my pet well looked after but that he was happy and comfortable. My pet has never been this happy in boarding and/or in my absence. If you’re looking for a pet sitter in the Durham/Durham-Chapel Hill area look no further. SERIOUSLY. I can honestly not think of how this service could have turned out better because it was the best. If I could leave a million stars in reviews I would and I still would not have put it enough to express my gratitude for Josh. He’s the absolute best!
Joshua was very dedicated to taking care of our very shy cat, and he gave great updates while we were away! He definitely cared a great deal for cats - we appreciated his help a lot!

Josh has been so great taking care of our fur baby. I can tell he genuinely cares for animals, and he wanted to know all about her when they met. He has been kind and patient with her as she is an elderly dog. I feel very comfortable leaving her in his care. Thanks, Josh! :)

I firmly believe the purpose of this work is stress and hassle free pet care. I do everything I can to build a friendship with your pet and tailor my service to their needs. This also means handling anything that comes up during a visit. I try to never leave a mess or accident for you to find when you get home. I have taken animals to vets in case of emergency (after contacting the owner of course!) and will do anything in my power to ensure your pet is happy and safe. I am also quite diligent about not allowing a client dog to interact with other people or dogs during walks. It is your pet, and its my job to keep them safe and happy!

I enjoy jogging, long walks, and playing games with dogs. As a kid I spent hours every day kicking a soccer ball around with my Doberman Ace. Tell me your dog's favorite game and I'll play with them as long as they like!

Availability
I love pets and provide pet care nearly full time. My anti-poaching work is largely research and administration, allowing me considerable flexibility. I want to make providing care for your pet as easy and stress-free as possible. I am also happy to help work-from-home and other stay at home clients! I will do my best to be unobtrusive while entering and exiting to allow you to maintain focus or go about your day.
