I am a nurse during the day but a full time animal lover. I have adopted 2 amazing dogs. The first dog, Riley, I adopted in 2011. He required an extensive amount of training. He was due to be euthanized because of his behavior. After 18 weeks of going to training classes with him, we went on to do Therapy Training and he became a Registered Therapy Dog! Unfortunately, on Apr 22nd, 2022, Riley had to be put down due to cancer. A few years ago, I took Riley to a Bark-in-the-Park baseball game. I began talking to the workers at the SPCA booth. I saw a picture of Khaleesi in a book they had and a few days later, Riley received a little sister! Khaleesi is a sweetheart and loves cuddling. I also attended training classes with her to help get her out of her shell. She was very shy when I first adopted her. Khaleesi suffers from epilepsy so requires medication twice a day. Because of this, I am very comfortable dealing with dogs with special needs as well as dogs that may need some structure in their routine. I have taken the time to research a lot about canine epilepsy and feel especially comfortable caring for other dogs with the same issue. We are extremely active and go outside to play regularly as well as go on hikes when weather permits. I am overly cautious any time our dog is out so I will take the utmost care of your dog. I understand how stressful it can be to leave them for any length of time. Khaleesi is also very social and gets along well with other dogs! Due to all of the dog training classes I attended, I also enjoy working with dogs on learning tricks as well as enforcing basic commands.
