Hi fellow dog owners! My name is Josh, and I have lived with, cared for, and enjoyed dogs my whole life. Before being a student at UGA, I cared for my family's four dogs often and even neighbors' dogs at times. Responsibilities included providing food and water, exercise and play, and bathroom breaks. I also have experience administering topical and oral medications to many dogs. Other than that, I always enjoyed playing, running, and giving them plenty of love and attention. From small to large dogs, I have learned how to treat dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Observing interactions between both like and dissimilar dogs allowed me to appreciate and respect the different play styles of dogs. My most recent experience watching another dog was looking after my friends' eight-month-old Australian Shepherd-Border Collie mix, Zoe. She was a very sweet dog who became best friends with my almost two-year-old German Shepherd Dog, Gretl. I would let her out one or two times a day on weekdays, while my friends were both at work. Our dogs would then play fetch inside and outside, chase each other, drink lots of water, and go to the bathroom, though a few occasions also included feeding. After watching her on weekdays for nearly three months, Zoe and her parents have just moved to Atlanta. At my apartment, I have lived with my almost two-year-old GSD, Gretl, since she was a puppy. She is basically my best friend, as we spend every moment possible together, including training, lounging around, playing fetch, taking walks, and taking road trips. I take her to Oconee Forest Park to play in the off-leash places with other dogs and to run throughout the trails of the park. She's an extremely friendly and intelligent dog who loves to play and cuddle. I'd love to look after your dog while you're away. If your dog needs more exercise, I enjoy walking, hiking, and running. If your dog likes larger dogs, my GSD also needs new friends and would love to keep your pup company, while you're away. Whatever your dog and you need, I'm ready to help!
