Pet care experience
I've spent my entire life around animals. Growing up, my family always had several dogs that we would adopt, train, and provide a loving home for. When I became a bit older and moved into my own apartment, I took that tradition with me. I currently have a 3-year-old Pit Bull that I rescued after finding him listed on Facebook for $30. I have a great deal of love for all wild-life; however, canines will always hold a special place in my heart. I do have experience giving any necessary medications or injections to dogs.

Josh has always been an avid dog lover. Every dog he has owned has been a rescue dog, as he is firmly against animal cruelty. He has always treated them like a best friend and cared for them in a responsible manner, with frequent vet visits and careful consideration of diet planning.
Josh has a love of animals that is apparent immediately. He is relaxed and calm when he is first introduced, and because of that I have introduced him to a shelter dog I work with that has definite challenges in meeting people, particularly males. When Josh met her, she barked but then calmed when she realized he wasn't a threat to her. On subsequent meetings, they were friends right away! I know that she has met other males that she didn't take to, so the fact that she accepted Josh is quite a credit to him.

Home services will be provided at my house in Johnstown where I live with my girlfriend, who has a passion for wildlife and animals as well. We have a large, fenced yard where animals can burn off some excess energy playing, as well as many great locations within walking-distance for getting out and about. I do have another dog, however, he will be separated for the duration of the visit (unless your dog is friendly with others because Rufus loves new friends!)

I would like to know whether your dog is friendly with other dogs, as I do have one of my own who absolutely loves to meet new friends! If your dog is not friendly with other dogs, they will be separated for the duration of the stay. Any feeding schedules that overlap with the visit should be discussed with me so that I know if and when I need to do so.
A typical day
Walks around town and to local parks or locations where animals are welcome will be provided AT LEAST every 2 hours. If I need to leave the house for any reason, my girlfriend will be here to keep things in order or I may bring the pet along for a nice ride around town.

Availability
I am currently enrolled in a Google IT certification program that is entirely online and entirely self-paced. This gives me the ability to put other responsibilities first, as necessary. It also allows me to bring my work with me, completing various assignments on my tablet. Ultimately, this gives me the ability to set my own schedule in its entirety. I am available Sunday through Saturday, 24 hours a day. Being on call, working holidays, commuting in bad weather, making changes to original arrangements, and following any special or necessary instructions will not be an issue.
