I've worked for several years as a high-touch dog care and training professional to many clients at a holistic, white-glove dog care, boarding, training, and grooming service in Chicago, IL. In my experience I've had the opportunity to provide all kinds of love, care and developmental training to both dogs and their human counterparts. Here are some of the areas where I have lots of great, practical experience: I've led American Kennel Society "Canine Good Citizen" training sessions many times, and understand how to work with dogs of many breeds and sizes to interact well with each other and with humans. I've bathed, groomed, trained, and walked all kinds of wonderful dogs, including German Shepherds, Shelties, Shiba Inus, Icelandic Sheepdogs, Golden Retrievers, Yellow Labs, Chesapeake Bay Labs, American Spaniels, English Spaniels, Pomeranians, Portuguese Water Dogs, English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Poodles, Yorkshire Terriers, Sealyham Terriers, Miniture Pinschers, Pekingese, Shih Tzus and more. I've taken dogs of many different breeds and ages to their veterinary appointments (including emergency appointments), worked with vets to find the right medications and foods to fit special needs for pets I knew well, and trained other new caregivers in all the unique aspects of every dog we cared for. I've administered liquid, solid, IV and injected medicines. I've prepared all kinds of food for all kinds of dog diets, including meals for dogs post-surgery, dogs on an all raw-meat diet, dogs on special formulas for skin and hair disorders, and dogs who received various digestive aids with their meals. I know dogs — whether puppies or aged canine companions — quite well, and love and care for each dog I meet in unique ways fit to each of them. I'm not afraid of messy pups, health concerns, weather, or rambunctious playtime. I've seen it all and then some, and I'll be a great friend and caregiver to your dog.
