Grew up with a golden, worked at a pet hospital/kennel in Santa Barbara, taught exercise physiology at college level and have been dogsitting/walking part-time for the last twenty years. I head to an off-leash beach for a couple of hours with my pack every day, all great with other dogs and great off leash, which is important to me. I'm an endurance athlete and can keep throwing your dog's stick in the ocean as long as they'll let me, but I'm also a TV nut who will love lounging on the couch with them if they are past their running days or are staying the night. I have beautiful references. I'm available every day and for night time slumber parties. I live in a dog friendly, cheerful condo with a private patio (Rover gives an option to note a yard but not a patio) where dogs can play indoors and out. I've got more dog beds than furniture, and it's a fun place to hang. I generally have a few dogs in my place at a time. Pet care is currently my full time job, both day and night. I am a CSULA physiolgy professor turned Santa Barbara dog-sitter - and loving it! I am with the dogs 24/7. If your dog is not able to join us for our beach romp then she or he may be in my condo for a few hours with the patio door open, of course, but otherwise will always be with me and my own dog and usually at least one or two other regulars.
