Pet care experience
I've dog sat and dog walked for family and friends since I was a child as requested, and I have a pair of my own senior dogs named Hank and Sadie. Hank I've had since he was a pup, Sadie joined us at 11 years old, which means I have first hand experience with both pups and senior dogs. As a walker I have experience with elderly dogs, energetic dogs and very young dogs.
Reviews
Cats were well cared for while we were traveling. Josh even helped mop up after we had an issue with a leaky roof.
Reliable and trustworthy - so nice to go on vacation and not worry about the cats!
Incredibly attentive during his walkthrough and helpful during his visits, very thorough with communication and updates, and an all-around swell guy. Will be our go-to cat sitter when we go on vacation!

The safety of any pets in my care is my first concern. I will monitor the environment, avoid other animals and do everything in my power to ensure any animals in my care are kept happy and healthy. to that end, i also require that i meet pets ahead of time, to be certain that both myself and the pets remain safe.

Any information on a dog's behavior is helpful. of particular note: How they respond to the sight of other dogs; how strong a prey drive they have; anything that elicits a fear response; if food or a toy motivates them; or if they have guarding behaviors. the more information I have the better prepared I am to make a dog's walk a happy and healthy experience.
A typical day
I try and customize a walk based on what I'm seeing from a dog- how engaged they are, how willing to run they seem, that sort of thing. I tend to prefer parks if at all possible- there's a bit more space and plenty of shade.

Availability
I have flexible and open availability, so I can meet most scheduling needs, depending on when i have other walks scheduled. Tuesdays during the day are usually difficult, for instance. I'm happy to help pups morning noon or night. I do need to meet animals ahead of time, so I'm not able to do first walks on a short term basis.
