Your dogs will have fun with me!

Pet care experience

I'm attentive to dogs' body language since I'm Deaf and that is how I communicate. If you're trying to work on crate training, I gotcha because I mean... it doesn't bother me. But I think the biggest selling point is that we got a massive backyard we need to put them to use and we always have dogs visiting so if you want your dog to have a time of their life and be socialized with other dogs, this is it!

Josette watched our two labs for 10 days, one of which was only 18mo old and had never been left with anybody in the 14mo that we'd had her. Did a couple of doggy day cares days with Josette before had but even so the pup was a bit anxious the first couple of days. But by the end she seemed to be making herself at home from what we could see in the pics and videos sent to us. Wouldn't have minded a few more pics and videos but Josette responded quickly whenever we reached out.

Josette and Co. are lovely and we’re so glad to have arranged for Hazels care with them. We heard she played in the yard and snuggled on the couch…the vids were a great touch. Thanks again :)

We have had a very positive experience with Josette. She watched our two dogs for several days over Thanksgiving break. She sent us video updates and we could see our dogs were being well taken care of. I will definitely have her watch our dogs again.

This was our first time leaving Yeti with anyone besides our family, and I was nervous to say the least. Yeti is a companion dog, slightly attached to me, and rarely left alone. I know she can be high maintenance and vocal making me nervous about how she would behave elsewhere - in come Jojo . Jojo was fantastic in reassuring me throughout yetis stay that she was doing well and not being too much of a pain ?. It was also a great way for yeti to socialize with other dogs AND cats ( which we now know Yeti loves). Yeti came back to us with increased confidence in herself. Would highly highly recommend using Jojo as I know I will for all of our future dog sitting needs ? THANKS JOJO!!

I have a HUGE fenced backyard. My two mini Aussies usually mind their own business since they need time to warm up to strangers. I also can help out with crate training if it's something that you’ll love to work on while boarding your pets. I take my dogs out for a run/walk two times a day and I’ll be happy to do more if needed. But if they just want to cuddle on the couch, even better because my dogs aren't cuddly and I'll be ecstatic to spend time with them. Plus, I have three roommates who LOVE pets so they will give them attention too. If your dog is sleeping, I won't bug them. If they want to play, I'll play with them for hours until they want to stop. I'm flexible and I'll just go with your dog's flow. I'm a photographer so don't be surprised if I decide to do a couple of photoshoot with them and send over to you. I'll also send updates on how they're doing and pictures!

Information Josette S. would like to know about your pet

I’m flexible and willing to treat them as if they were my own. I’d like to know as much as possible about your pet. Allergies, routines to follow, stimuli that bring discomfort (ie, dogs barking, delivery trucks, squeak toys, etc.)
Any previous aggression, bites, or anxiety issues. Let me know if your dog has special needs or needs to take medicine. I'll be happy to do them as long I have an instruction. I will be putting your dog on a leash in the off-leash area for peace of mind unless said otherwise. Can I take your dog to the dog park? I usually take my Aussies to the photoshoots that I do. Can I take them with me or do you prefer me to crate them? I also adventure a lot by camping, hiking, or going to the lake to paddleboarding (Usually on the weekend). Can your dog come with me or should I workaround with the dog by staying home instead?

A typical day

I enjoy taking dogs on hikes or walking/running with them at the park that is right next to my house. We even have the valley that is a couple of blocks away. I usually take my dogs there off-leashed on the weekend to wear them out. I also stimulate dogs by playing with them in the backyard. We have a lot of toys in every room in the house and backyard. The backyard has a small plastic pool where dogs can cool down or drink from.

I work remotely for both of my jobs. For one of my job, I leave 2-3 hours few days a week to teach American Sign Language for an hour. If anything longer, I usually crate my dogs up to 4 hours. Otherwise, my husband, Austin is here to watch and play with them if I’m gone. My roommates are always here so we usually let dogs out for their potty break every hour or just to let them play. Then on the weekends, I usually take my dogs out on adventures like hiking, camping, paddle boarding, or scout for a new place for the photoshoot.
