Pet care experience
Kelli and I both grew up caring for our family dogs and when we got married (over 30 years ago), we of course had to find our Lucy. We found Lucy at the local shelter and she changed our lives. We loved her for 13 years and when she passed, she left a gigantic hole in our hearts. We are not ready to have another dog of our own but love to care for others. We travel quite a bit and don't want to board a fuzzy baby in a kennel. About 2 years after losing our Lucy, we started pet sitting for our friends and neighbors and it has been a blessing. It's like having grand kids. We have the joy of a pet for short periods of time and then they go home! We care for pets for overnights, up to 5 -7 nights if needed. We love and care for them like they are our own. Our home is very dog friendly, with mostly tile floors and furniture they can sit/nap on. Your pet will be spoiled while visiting with us.

This is the second time my Blue has stayed with Kelli and Joe. They are the BEST, they understand my dog and his energy, hia needs, and his funny personality. They built obstacle courses, played a million frisbee throws and with the heat and his love of swimming, they even went as far as to purchase a kiddie pool for lounging during the heat wave. Kelli and Joe sent photos and updates of all the fun. With all the special attention he cannot wait until his next visit
Kelli and Joe are the Most Amazing dog sitters!! Our dog, Rosie, can be timid in new situations and she had never been overnight with anyone except family. Kelli and Joe made her feel SO Happy and Comfortable!! Thank you for taking such Beautiful care of Rosie!!!💓
Selfishly I would like to keep Kelli and Joe a secret and not share how absolutely amazing they are… but our conscious won’t allow it. Our dog might actually prefer them to us and that is saying a LOT as our guy is a bit neurotic and attached at the hip with major separation anxiety issues. If you are even remotely in the area- please schedule with this couple. Hands down amazing!! Always thankful for them!!
Joe and Kelli are the best. Loved our pup and are great communicators. So warm and friendly we feel like we have known them forever. Our little girl dog Sammie Pine Cone wants us to take another trip so she can be with her new best friends.

We want to keep your pets routine as close to normal as possible. Is there a favorite toy, a game or tricks, they prefer,are they friendly with other dogs? While happiness is easy to see, we want to know the signs of stress or discomfort.
A typical day
Every morning we will have a coffee in the backyard while your fuzzy takes care of the morning "business". We typically provide a reward/treat for a job well done and go inside for freshwater and breakfast. Weather permitting, we will go for a morning walk around the neighborhood, visit Rocky the neighborhood rooster, and check all the sights, sounds and smells on the path. The balance of the day will be in/out to the backyard, naps,butt scratches and snuggles. We have a home office and normally have a nap bed right by our desk. After dinner, another walk is typical and then enjoy the sunset on the back patio.

We own a small business and Kelli works from home 5 days a week. Joe works from home 2-3 days a week. The pets get spoiled with love and attention.
