Pet care experience
The main reason I started hosting pets is because I did not have a good experience with leaving my pet at a kennel. We had two occasions where we had to leave our pet at a boarding center. Both times we realized that she was treated as just an animal. We wanted more for her since we love her so much. Because of that experience, we want to open our home to other "parents" who want their pet to be in safe and caring hands. -My wife and I work as a team, so one of us is always at home 24/7 -As Barkbox subscribers, we have plenty of treats! However, we will ask and abide by your treat policy -We take our pup for walks EVERYDAY so, we will take your pup along. I will include pictures and videos of the walks. -We do not have children, so all of our attention goes toward your pet -Fiora, our golden retriever, is a service animal and gets along with dogs, cats and bunnies.

Our Max is a people dog—he recently retired as a therapy dog, and spending time with humans is what makes his life matter. Joseph understands this, and pampers Max with human contact, and Max reciprocates by being a good boy and friendly, loving companion to both humans and other pups. Max considers Joseph a member of the family, and enjoys his sleepovers with Joseph and his pup.
We live in a rural area and have a rescue dog with special needs. Joseph has taken care of our pup twice now, and he is amazing… he keeps us updated with pictures and videos to let us know our Max is doing well. Even though Joseph is more than an hour’s drive away, he’ll be our go-to sitter, because he truly cares, and we can feel confident that our Max is doing well under Joseph’s care. My only reservation in giving Joseph a 5-star plus review, is that everyone will jump on board, and he won’t be able to accommodate us next time we need a sitter. Joseph… please keep your calendar up to date, because we’d like to book you again!
This was our first time boarding our Max with Joseph, and we will be back!👍 He communicated regularly and sent pics and videos, which alleviated our separation anxiety (Max was fine, and enjoyed getting walks with Fiona, but Mom and Dad were missing him😢). Overall a wonderful experience, and we really appreciate Joseph’s outstanding care and flexibility!
Excellent hosts! I could tell Yogi Bear had a great time and was well loved during his brief stay. It’s hard to find good people you can trust to care for your beloved pets. Thank you so much for watching him for me.
