Dogs are my people.
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Jose. I’m a happy and established dog sitter, living and working primarily in the Lake View area. I have been connecting with clients through Rover for over seven years, and I am fortunate to have made many wonderful friends and connections during that time. I originally got my start working for colleagues, friends, and neighbors. I enjoy what I do a great deal and I feel extremely lucky to be able to make extra income doing it. Working with dogs is always fun, exciting, and challenging, and the companionship and love are unmatched! Connecting with your furry family members and providing the highest possible level of care in your absence is what I aim to do. There is no job (or pup!) too big or too small for me.
Reviews
Jose is fantastic! He has watched my dog many times and always does a great job. Excellent communication and leaves the house in great shape! Highly recommended!! 10/10! Thanks again, Jose!
Jose was great, very professional and responsive and sent pictures. Came home to a happy and healthy pup. Would hire again!
Jose was super communicative and showed real care and patience for Marlo. When I got home I was so grateful to find how clean and well taken care of everything was! Super grateful for his time, effort, and energy. Highly recommend!
Jose did a great job taking care of our pups and their needs! He was very knowledgeable about dealing with anxious dogs and made sure our dogs were happy.

Safety, trust & environment
My goal is to act as you to the best of my ability. I will follow any/all set care instructions and previously discussed details to the best of my ability. I prefer to keep things as normal and routine as possible for the pet, so that they do not stress in your absence or otherwise become emotionally ill.
Information Jose G. would like to know about your pet
I DO NOT support breed bullying of any kind. I am open to loving and caring for all breeds. Things that are important for me to know (in no particular order): • What is your pet’s temperament? • How do they typically react to their environment/other pets or animals/people/children/etc.? • Does your pet have any special needs or medical conditions? • Does your pet require any special therapies, medications, or treatments while in my care? • Does your pet have any physical, social, emotional, limitations or needs? Can they use stairs or do they need to be carried? Can they be left alone or are they highly anxious?, etc. • Is your pet house trained? Do they use potty pads indoors or a grass pad out on the patio? • What is your pet’s typical routine? • ANYTHING ELSE you think is helpful for me to know in your absence or to help me decide if a Meet & Greet is the appropriate next step and/or to help me decide if your pet is a good fit for me
A typical day
Walks in or around your neighborhood, and other designated/safe areas such as dog parks, dog beaches, etc., if applicable and if you consent. Lots of cuddling, pets, and belly rubs! Play time - the more toys, the better! Maintaining and reinforcing good training habits and rewarding/praising good behavior. Bathing, grooming, etc., as needed or requested. Spending time outdoors, for example in backyard, on deck or balcony, etc., when weather permits.
