Jordyn has house sat, walked our dogs and done drop in visits for us. She has done a fantastic job everytime including sending us frequent updates and pictures! It makes it so much easier to leave our dogs knowing they will be under Jordyn's care.

Very active, great with needy dogs!

I am a very active person who loves dogs. My dog is half australian cattle dog, half lab so he has a cuddly sweet side loyal side and also an energetic, stubborn, high energy side. He has a lot of weird quirks, but also is very well trained.
I am currently in law school and I have in general two two hour classes a day. While I spend a lot of my time outside of ...

What Jordyn would like to know about your dog

I would love to know everything about your dog! The first time my dog ever stayed with a rover sitter I think I wrote a very very long description of my dogs habits. The more you can tell me the better the experience will be for all 3 of us. Some things to think about include:
Eating and drinking habits, allergies, what bad habits they have (they all have them please do not be shy about these ), what certain things mean that your dog does (how does it ask to go to the bathroom? What does sitting by door mean..etc), what they do well on a leash, what they need work on, interactions with new dogs, interactions with new people, how they normally greet you.
I am most familiar with large breeds but like all breeds. I grew up around labs, weimaraners, huskies, golden retrievers, and herding breeds.

When Jordyn watches your pet

In general I like to mix up the area where we walk. Let me know which direction or areas to avoid with your dog. I am always interested in reinforcing any commands, or tricks you are working on so please let me know what your special words and hand signals are.
I can walk pretty fast. I can also walk very slow! Whatever your dog is used to and enjoys. For a fast paced dog who is looking to maximize energy output I usually do around 1.5 to 2.0 miles, depending on the frequency of the bathroom breaks.
When it comes to boarding, please let me know what you would like me to do with your dog, I can add it a dog park trip after we review their behavior there. Also for boarding I am willing to walk your dog up to 3 miles a day at least. Please let me know what other requests you have-and we can discuss how i can accommodate them. I really strive to make your dog tired when you get home so you don't have to worry about having to take them to do things. I can work with dogs who are not social.
