Dog Sitting, Walking and Drop-Ins!

***Please note, we are currently taking a break from boarding because we have moved and are in the process of getting settled in to our new house, but we are now available to walk and check in on dogs. We are happy to walk dogs of all sizes.***

Update: Calder and I are now walking and checking in on dogs while their humans are away at work or for other activities! We can't wait spend ...

What Jordon would like to know about your dog

While we certainly have a handful of breeds that we tend to gravitate to as dog lovers (we're big fans of the herding breeds), we're open to all breeds being guests in our home as long as they have good manners. Benji is a big guy, and while he seems to like small dogs the most, he sometimes forgets his size. It's important that any doggie guest in our home is ok with playing a little rough from time to time.

Things we would like to know about your dog are listed below.
1. Does he/she have any medical issues that we should be aware of?
2. Does he/she have any aggression issues, especially when it comes to food, toys, etc.?
3. Is he/she house trained and ok to be left alone (won't chew things up)?
4. Is there anything we need to know that is important for keeping your dog calm and comfortable while you are away?

When Jordon watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
We take our daily walks on a route that goes throughout our neighborhood. We start out on the sidewalk that goes past our neighbors' houses, and connect with a walking/biking trail that winds through the residential area the rest of the way. It's nicely paved and covered with trees, perfect for dog walks. It also crosses Mae Anne Ave at about the halfway point, so depending on the amount of exercise your dog needs, it can be a one or two mile round trip.

On the weekends, we love to take Benji hiking or to the river, so as long as you give us permission, there's strong possibility that we'll be taking your dog out on some trails to get a bit more energy out.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
We have a "wherever you're most comfortable" sleep policy in our house. We know that every dog and dog owner is different, so it all depends on where your dog is most comfortable and what most closely resembles his/her sleeping arrangement at home. Benji tends to be a drifter, so we just let him go from bed to floor to couch throughout the night. If your dog likes to sleep in bed with you, that's fine with us (given that he/she doesn't take up too much room). If you bring a crate or a bed that you like him/her to sleep in, that's fine too. If he/she just wants to lay on the floor or the couch, we can accommodate that too.

Time I'll spend with your dog
We both work from home. Sometimes Calder is out at appointments during the day or I have to run some errands, but other than that, there is always someone home to spend time with the dogs. When we're home, the dogs have full access to the house and backyard. Plus, we take the dogs on regular walks and outings. They get plenty of love and attention :)
