Pet care experience
I am a grad student at UMASS Amherst with a very flexible schedule. I have my own dog and I am so excited to treat your dog like my own while you are away! My dog, Arlo, is a very friendly and playful pup and would love to have a friend to play with! I am also very active with Arlo- we go on daily hikes with him so dogs of all energy levels will fit in here! I have many years of experience caring for my own family pets as well as experience as a veterinary assistant and pet hotel associate. Not only will your pet feel like they are home, but they will get great care while they are with me too! Because I am a student, I have a variable schedule which allows me to go on walks and check on your pet during hours most people are not around. I am easy to schedule with and eager to meet your pet!

My dog is off leashes trained but I also have several long leashes that I use with other dogs to make sure that your furry friends can also have hiking time to run around and play. I also always feed dogs separately to make sure there is no snapping over food. Pets are allowed on couches and beds and Arlo loves a good snuggle.

Please let me know about any special care that your dog needs and how your dog normally acts around other dogs. Also, please tell me how your dog is on a leash and walking around other people and dogs. I can adapt to most behaviors but it is helpful to know ahead of time.
A typical day
We normally start the day with some off leash/hike time for about 40 minutes to an hour. If you are not comfortable with your dog being off leash I have long leashes to make sure your pup is safe. If you have a lower energy or senior dog we can accommodate all energy levels! We have plenty of toys for them to lay with. We end the day with either some frisbee time in the park or a good walk around our neighborhood.

I have a hybrid work schedule and can easily work from home. On most of the days that I do go into the office my dog comes with me- and yours can too! I can easily adapt my schedule to your dog ‘s needs.
