Dog owner off H St NE!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Jordan, and I've owned my 40-pound, 11-year-old dog, Reese, since she was a puppy. After having a few bad experiences myself with overnight boarding, etc., I decided to look into Rover. Some quick facts about our home: *I come from a family of dog lovers, and have raised my rescue dog, Reese, since she was a puppy. *2-floor rowhouse off H St NE, near several dog parks *Flexible work schedule; currently working from home due to Covid *Husband available (and excited!) to help with walks ... or runs! *Pet friendly furniture and snuggle arrangements (but willing to enforce any rules you have for your pooch!) *Happy to administer pills (our dog gets them, too!) NOTE: After a recent experience with significant property damage, we have realized that the Rover guarantee does not extend to sitters or their personal pets. Thus, we now require pet owners to accept liability for property damage or vet bills over $200. This is the same coverage that Rover guarantees to its customers. Thanks so much for checking out this listing! Hope to hear from you soon. We take Reese on 3-4 walks per day, with one long walk/park visit daily. Since there's two of us, we can add another walk/run if needed! Nearby dog parks include NOMA/Swampoodle and Kingman Park. Nearby DC parks include Stanton and Lincoln Park. Here are some basics, but feel free to ask about your own specific needs/preferences! *I can host dogs 2 years or older of any size, and puppies on the smaller side (less than 50 lbs). *I'm able to give meds as necessary (...Reese has a twice/day Rx, so it's part of my existing routine!). *Reese loves similarly chill dogs, and she's also very patient with smaller-breed puppies. I'd like to meet your dog first, and I'm happy to bring Reese along as well!
Reviews
Jordan and her husband are amazing sitters! They treated Roo like family & I could tell Roo had a great time when he was there, he came home happy. Adorable updates/pics, really thoughtful attention to detail, and just overall super lovely people. I’d highly recommend!
Jordan is awesome. Couldn’t be more pleased with how my pet stay went. She and her husband watched my dog for a few days and gave him constant attention and activity while keeping me updated with frequent pictures. I particularly appreciated the flexibility with the drop-off and pick-up schedule.
Jordan was awesome! From the beginning she was very understanding and accommodating of my schedule. She is very easy going and appeared very confident with pet/dog care. She was very communicative during our time away from our pup. She sent lots of picture and made sure Kofi got plenty of exercise and attention. I loved that she took him to the dog park the same day I was scheduled to pick him up after our long trip. He was tired and content which is great when you are trying to rest! I will definitely be using her again!
Jordan and Greg are great! Super flexible, communicative, and great with our dog, Theo. We will definitely go back to Jordan anytime we need a sitter.

We DO NOT accept last-minute bookings for new dogs, because meet-and-greets are so important! We would like to know: *Whether your pet is leash trained *How often they go on leashed walks, vs. are simply let into the yard (we prefer walks!) *Their comfort level with dog parks AND with leashed sidewalk encounters *General behavior at home: do they need regular play breaks? Where do they like to chill/sleep? Should we expect occasional barking (i.e., mail delivery), or does all outside movement merit a warning bark? Etc.
A typical day
Typical Walks, 10-20 mins each: ~7-8AM ~5‐6PM ~10PM We can add an additional walk or park visit as requested, depending on your dog's needs! We do try to schedule these longer outings around the weather - especially during DC summers!
