Dogs and cats have always been in my life, and while I am away from home I miss them dearly. I am comfortable with a wide variety of pup: from big, high-energy dogs that need some mileage and toy time, to little fur-babies that would rather have a quick jaunt around the block and some belly rubs. My family has been a recurrent foster home for senior Weimaraners, so older dogs hold onto a special spot in my heart. I am also really good with cats and would be really happy to give yours the attention they are accustomed to while you are away. If you have any fish, birds, turtles, frogs, or smaller furry friends, I am also completely capable of caring for them while you are away. My schedule is a little odd as I work in the outdoor industry, but I have plenty of time to flexibly play, walk, or visit your furry family member.

Jordan did a great job taking care of our home and our fuzzy friends allowing us to have a more stress free vacation. She provided great updates on how everyone was doing while we were gone. We definitely hope to be able to work with her again.

I do not care for your pets in my home, but your house will be secure at all points of my stay. Your dog will remain leashed whenever we are outside of your yard, just in case any unforeseen distractions arise. We will communicate ahead of time about how you would like your house attended to: locking, plant watering, lights left on/off, and any security systems you have in place.

Before agreeing to walk or pet sit for your dog or cat, I would like to have some information about their personality and energy levels - Do they have a favorite toy? Do they have any big fears (like the trash truck, tall people, other dogs)? How long is their walk? Will they play fetch? All dogs have their own little quirks, and I have definitely seen a lot! If you have any concerns about shyness or special needs, I am happy to work with you and your pet to deliver the same care that you would. I'd also like to know if they have any dietary allergies or restrictions they might have. I like to bring veggies (broccoli, carrots) and treats for my walking buddies!
A typical day
Depending on your location and your dog's preference, we will meander streets for a neighborly stroll or head down to the trails by the river for a little outdoor fun. I cannot have your fur-children stay with me, so most of their activities will depend on your home! If you have a yard, I'd love to play ball. If we get a little muddy on our walk or during playtime, I am happy to give them a rinse off! All in all, your dog will dictate our activities.

Availability
My mornings start early and occasionally my evenings can run a little late, but I am happy to have my spare time revolve around your pets. We’ll have breakfast and dinner together and go for a walk before I leave and once I’m home. We’ll have a blast playing tug or snuggling up with a book, depending on what your pet prefers. I’ll have your independent cats hanging out with me in no time, giving space as the need it but affection when they want it.
