Jordan took amazing care of my baby. She was very communicative and respectful of my home as well. I would be thrilled to book with her again.

I have used Rover several times with 2 different in-home boarders. Those experiences were great. This time I wanted to try house sitting. Jordan had good reviews and several customers have rebooked. After the initial meet and greet, we both decided to move forward with the service. Pros: Based on the pictures and videos I received from Jordan my dog appeared happy. Jordan sent a video of her interacting well with my dog. Cons: Jordan arrived around an hour later than agreed upon 2 of the 3 nights she was booked for. The 3rd night, she never returned to my home after leaving for work around 8AM that morning. She contacted me at 7PM citing car troubles. She stated it should be resolved quickly and she would be at my house soon. I asked her to keep me updated as I could make arrangements for my adult daughter to take care of my dog. At that time, she had only 1 potty break. She had not been fed, walked, or played with. A neighbor just quickly let her out due to Jordan’s work hours. I never heard back from Jordan. I followed up 2 hours later, now 9PM. She stated she was not at my home yet but would be in about 10 minutes. At that point, I felt like I could no longer trust her to care for my dog so I ended the service and made other arrangements for her. I understand things happen. But my dog is a German Shepherd and cannot be left alone for 12 hours. I asked her to communicate any changes w the car situation being resolved quickly and she did not do that. Jordan made the financial part of this right by refunding half of the booking charges. However, I will likely never use Rover again. You hear horror stories about things like this happening and you always think, ‘that would never happen to me’.. until it does. I was on vacation crying at dinner because a person I hired to take care of my dog left her home alone for at least 12 hours. This is so disappointing because it should never have happened. I always have multiple backup plans for my dog and because she failed to communicate with me, my dog was alone for at least 12 hours. Unacceptable.
