Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Jorah and caring for pets of all species is my passion, but pups and reptiles are my speciality! I have been a trusted sitter for many friends, family, and neighbors for over 13 years and have had many pets of my own! My best boy, Tango, was a 10 year old Jack Russell/Schnauzer recently passed from cancer and I miss him immensely. Although I am not quite ready for another companion (he feels irreplaceable), I do miss having puppy love around the house so watching after others’ fur-babies seems like the next best thing! I also will do drop-ins and feeding for reptiles and cats!

Jorah R. has been a great resource for my doodle and I. Jorah has had her own pups and knew that she would take care of mine in much the same way while also accommodating my schedule to allow for the least amount of disruption. I appreciated the pupdates as well, they elevated my confidence.
Jorah is wonderful! She is always prompt, a wonderful communicator, and took the time to get our timid older pup to warm up to her. We loved getting the pictures from her at each visit. our dogs are always happy to see her!
What can I say besides the BEST ever. She treats any animal like a family member even on the first meet. Her compassion and energy to handle your fur babies is a breath of fresh air to have that trust and kindness. She’s does very well/experienced with staying on top of medications and any dietary needs. Plus if your fur babies needs any further activities she has always been helpful in going on fun hikes or just walks. I will always recommend her as she becomes family with you and your pet. It’s not a job for her. It’s a genuine love and passion.

I have a fully fenced in yard (vinyl) with a patio that gets plenty of sunshine, near by walking trails, and a dog park less than a 1/4 mile from home if your pup is comfortable in that environment. Lack of exercise is no worry around here! My home is a fully open-to-roam place for pets that are fully housebroken and trained not to chew/eat anything but their toys and treats. This includes couch snuggles at the end of their long day of fun, and a warm bed to sleep in with humans if they tend to get lonely. Their regular scheduled meal times, medication adminstration, and light grooming maintenance will all go uninterrupted during their stay. Your pup(s) will always get the celebrity treatment with us as our policy is one family per weekend.

Let us know anything and everything there is to know about your babies! How much play/outdoor time they’re used to, any adorable quirks to clue us in on (ex: will only eat hand fed under dining room table, will only take meds hidden in their favorite cheese), any allergies or dietary restrictions (puppy ice cream and pup-corn are always readily available and complimentary during their stay for some extra special treats!)
A typical day
Any hour long drop in or stay with us will include plenty of physical and mental exercise (if it’s their jam) to keep them busy and anxiety free until their humans return! We loved puzzles, walks/hikes, and toy play time around here whether it’s a game of tug in the living room or fetch in the backyard or park down the road!

Availability
I currently work Full-Time Monday-Friday, but I am available for: feedings/walks/drop-ins between 3-7 pm Monday-Friday. Boarding is available ocassionally Friday-Sunday (must be scheduled with 2 weeks notice).
