Pet care experience
Dogs have always been special to me. I had a family dog from age 6, and now have my own scruffy mutt that brings me all of the joy. I'm fascinated with animal behavior, and a future goal of mine (when schedules allow) is to begin the journey of becoming a certified dog trainer. I currently have a lot of availability, and figured putting that towards loving on some dogs would be an excellent use of time. I believe in treating animals with profound respect. I'm a very active person. I love to run and hike, so if your pooch is up for it, we can most certainly get our exercise on! I also know what it feels like to leave your pet in someone else's care, even for a day or two. (I may or may not still tear up dropping him off at the groomer.) I am 100% ok with sending pictures during our time together if that brings you joy or peace of mind. I look forward to learning, knowing, and loving on your canine companion!

Jonelle was so amazing for our dog! It was our first time using Rover so we were a little nervous. However, when we met Jonelle, we instantly loved her. She is kind, thoughtful, organized, hilarious and was obviously loving towards our dog. While we were gone, she kept me in the loop about and sent so many sweet photos of our pooch and her dog playing together. When we returned home, we found that she went over and beyond what was expected and our house was in better shape than when we left it! Most importantly though, our dog was happy and clearly had been well loved for the three days we were gone. Without question, we would hire Jonelle in a heartbeat... and definitely plan on doing so again! THANK YOU!
Jonelle is a seriously awesome lady. She was so great with our pups, and she takes the best pet photos EVER. We had an unexpected delivery at our home and she graciously handled everything. Kind, warm, and professional!

Most important for me to know would be a temperament overview. I would like to know how they are with other dogs and kids (and if there's a difference on and off leash), if they have good name recognition, and if we can play off-leash. Also, if there are any specific quirks to be on the look-out for. And, of course any medical or physical impairments that need attention.
A typical day
I love exploring new streets and neighborhoods. I like to push the pace (maybe even jog, if they're up for it) with the active pups, and for those dogs that just need some good sniffing time in, I am all about the "smell-stroll". All my years of softball come in handy for many rounds of fetch, and I'm a pretty fierce competitor with some tug-of-war. Also I love puppy snuggles. :)
