Schedules & Routines... (If you've read the part entitled: "Pet care experience" you've probably read this already!) Caring for your pet is my full time job. I appreciate that a lot of people now work from home for their full time job, and see pet care as an enjoyable diversion. But for me, your pet becomes the primary focus of my day if that's what you want. I can be flexible, focused and loyal as I also limit the number of pets I care for on any given day. So if you have a special but shy fur baby who prefers their own company, I'll do my best to make sure their peace isn't disturbed. Or if you have a pooch pining for other furry friends, well I'm sure we can find that special someone. The long and short of this is that I will be as flexible as I can, and I'll always do my very best to ensure that your pet is cared for in a way that's best for them. With this in mind, I'd ask you to also be aware that depending on the nature of the animals involved, I may have to turn some away. It breaks my heart to do it but I know you'll understand my priority is the well being of all animals in my care, and sometimes this is a necessary evil to ensure the happiness and health of all involved.

Safety, trust & environment... (If you've read the part entitled: "Pet care experience" you've probably read this already!) Like all things in life, timing is important. Whilst accidents happen and we can't see into the future, I will always keep you up to date on when and where I'll be arriving for pick up, or drop off. You'll have pics sent to you at least 3 times a day (only if you want them, of course. But who doesn't love getting pictures of their best fuzzy friend?). If there are any issues I won't keep them to myself, you'll be notified of anything you need to know but I will always do my best to resolve situations myself to ensure I don't waste your time. Whilst your time may not be *quite* as precious as your little buddy, there's a reason you're trusting me to take care of them and I will ensure that I respect that.

Information Jonathan S. would like to know about your pet
Getting to know one another... (If you've read the part entitled: "Pet care experience" you've probably read this already!) In my experience, every pet is unique but there are many 'breed specific' pieces of information. Older pets also; more often than not, require medications. Sometimes a specific exercise regimen. After discussion and agreement, I'm more than happy to ensure these are provided during my care. So, before leaving me with the most precious thing in your life, please share any needs, quibbles or quirks that may be important to ensure I can provide the best care during time with me.
A typical day
Every day adventures... (If you've read the part entitled: "Pet care experience" you've probably read this already!) On an ordinary day we'll be walking into one of the local parks along with a mixture of preferred fetch toys (I have a mixture of my own, but I'm happy to carefully look after friendly favourites if you want to provide them!). Treats (either pet specific from owner, or shop bought by me) take a small part of indoor games to inspire thinking through puzzle games.

Pet care experience
Hi there, thanks for taking a look at my profile! Below you'll read through information about me as a dog carer, my pricing, what I offer, and my previous pet experiences. Not only that, but also a brief description of me as an individual, some personal values and why I choose to do what I do. What you read might help you decide whether I'm suitable not only for you but most importantly whether I'm suitable for your furry friend(s). If you're looking for a pet pal who's reliable, experienced, friendly and caring - then look no further... I've been caring for animals for around 8 years. Sadly my own handsome sausage (Eddings the miniature dachshund, you can see him in my picture gallery) passed away mid 2024 which has left a vacancy in my heart that I hope you can help me fill! I've been trusted to care for many of my family and friend's pets. This then moved on to their friends and family pets and then my neighbours' etc. I've been a very lucky boy in that respect, but perhaps not so much with my health. I've had some serious health concerns over the last ten or so years which have inspired me to focus on the more important things in life. So caring for animals; using the skills I've learned throughout my previous career, my life experiences and the combined wisdom of family, friends and even strangers, enough to now spend my days doing a job I love. I look forward to spending my time caring for animals of all kinds. Dogs, cats, rabbits (I once had a house-bunny called Bowzer), guinea pigs, mice, rats, spiders (this was whilst I lived in Australia and wasn't my choice but surprisingly fun!) and some small birds. (If you have a pet magpie who needs looking after, I would be over the moon to offer my assistance!) I appreciate that many home workers also make a separate income by taking in animals throughout their own working day and see pet care as an enjoyable diversion, as well as a financial benefit. I'm a weirdo in that I only care for a maximum of three animals at once. (I live within the influence of Bromley council, who require a licence to walk more than 3 at a time. I have one just in case, but rarely use it) it's my thinking that any more than 3 limits the care I give, and if I was working from home as well as caring for animals - I'm afraid my care wouldn't be as focused as I'd like. So if you have a special but shy fur baby who prefers their own company, I'll do my best to make sure their peace isn't disturbed. Or perhaps you have a pooch pining for other furry friends? We can find local companions to play with one another until home time! The long and short of this is that I try to be as flexible as I can and always do my very best to ensure that your pet is cared for in a way that's best for them. With this in mind, I'd ask you to also be aware that depending on the nature of the animals involved, I may have to turn some away. But who doesn't love getting pictures of their best fuzzy friend?). If I recognise anything important, I won't keep it to myself. You'll be notified of anything you need to know but I will always do my best to resolve situations myself to ensure I don't waste your time. Speaking of time, yours may not be quite as precious as your little buddy, but there's a reason you're trusting me to take care of them and I will do my best to respect that. On an ordinary working day I can be found walking to one of the local parks around Beckenham carrying a mixture of fetch toys (I have a mixture of my own, but I'm happy to carefully look after friendly favourites if you want to provide them). Treats; either pet specific from owner, or shop bought by me. I use them mostly as part of indoor games to inspire thinking through various puzzle games or tug-of-war etc. Every pet is unique but there are many 'breed specific' requirements or quirks. Older pets also; more often than not, require medications and sometimes a specific exercise regimen. After discussion and agreement, I'm more than happy to ensure these are provided during my care. In closing, thanks again for taking the time to read through my profile . I hope it covers the majority of information you need but please get in touch if you have any questions and I look forward to speaking to you soon! Jonathan Oh, sorry! Just one more thing... 😉 If it appears that I'm not available on the date you're hoping for - don't run away! It's possible the calendar details aren't 100% up to date (even though I do try to make sure they're as accurate as I can). Send me a request and (usually) I'll respond within the hour!
Reviews

Jonathan could not have been lovelier. Such great communication and I felt immediately comfortable and confident leaving our puppy with him. I got lovely updates through the day and came back to such a happy and content puppy when we got home. Thank you so much for looking after Jaro and definitely will be booking again!

Jonathan is definitely one of the best. He clearly loves the dogs, is diligent and sends regular pupdates. The dogs seem to love spending time there and I have no hesitation in rebooking them in for future stays.

Jonathan was a great choice to look after Hendrix. Super friendly, was clearly paying attention to what we were asking for, took a tonne of care of Hendrix. Very much appreciated and highly recommended!

Coco was very happy with Johnathan, would highly recommend.
