Hello! I’m Jonathan (aka Red). I’m from New Zealand, now living in Seattle. I’m a web-developer by trade who works as an independent contractor from home. This leaves me lots of time to do what I would much rather be doing… taking care of your pets! I grew up with dogs and really love them. While I was living in San Francisco for the last 3 years, I volunteered at their amazing SPCA and accumulated over 500 hours of time working with dogs and cats. I went through various trainings, include on general care (walking, feeding, clean up, administering simple medications, etc.), obedience training, agility training and even training on dealing with stressed/scared animals and how to facilitate safe dog interactions. I’m trained in and a firm believer in positive reinforcement training. Now that I’m in Seattle, I am currently a volunteer at the Seattle Animal Shelter twice a week walking their dogs, but I’d like to do even more! With my flexible schedule, I have lots of free time to stop in and check on your pets, take them for walks, and likely some overnight pet sitting too (if my wife says its ok). Rain or shine (mostly rain lately), I want to get your pooch outside, exercised and mental stimulated. I’m located in the Ravenna area, but I have a Subaru and can travel reasonable distances to help out. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your special furry friend!
