A calming presence for anxious pups
Pet care experience
I have boundless love for dogs. I have flexibility with my schedule as I am currently a grad student writing my dissertation, so many weekdays and weekends work for me. I’ll be the perfect match for a dog (of any size) that requires a calming presence and who enjoys long walks or a quiet snuggle on a couch. I have a fifteen-lbs terrier mix love bug who can be a companion for similar sized dogs or calm larger breeds. (He’ll chill at home for other dogs that don’t fit this category.)

Jonathan is a wonderful and responsible dog lover! I would trust him to take perfect care of my dog any time...and just to make sure it's happy and comfortable, he would probably take it sight-seeing, read books to it, talk to it about its feelings, etc. He is solid.

In my home: I live in a one bedroom, dog friendly apartment. My dog sits on the furniture, plays with his toys in my living room, and sleeps in bed with me. To house a dog here, the dog would need to be small (no more than twenty pounds) and get along with my terrier mix.

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs around Curtis Park or Oak Park to throw the ball around, or take a long walk around the Oak Park area, ducking in to “Old Soul” on occasion for a dog treat.

Availability
I am currently finishing my PhD at UC Davis and have open availability in the mornings and afternoons while others are at work. I can also work some evenings as needed.
