When you hire a dogwalker, you want someone you can trust. Not only is this person entering your living space, but they are also working with one of the most important sources of emotional support in your life - your pet. Many people consider pets like their second set of children, if not their first. I worked for one and a half years for Baroo - in that time, I had extensive success with all types of dogs. Every dog is different and becomes comfortable with a walker in their own way. Its all about tactics - some dogs respond well to a very upbeat playful tone, while others require a bit more delicacy and patience. Regardless, once a dog is on the leash, I always try to maximize our use of time so that they go to the bathroom, get exercise in and understand that they can feel absolutely at ease when I am with them. In a way, I prefer them to people - their barks tend to speak louder than many words I hear. Especially nowadays.
