I was terribly disappointed in this pet sitter. I had a terrible time getting in touch with him prior to my trip, to which he had some great excuses, and on the first day of my travel he was completely non responsive. He did not show up at my house at agreed time, and was many hours late. I had to send a neighbor to care for my pets. This was super stressful to me as I was 7 states away, and not scheduled to return for 6 days. Jon finally returned a message that night, when my neighbor came to feed my crew dinner. I was glad Jon was there, but never got an explanation for his absence. My travels were the week of SXSW, Jon had a work gig, that appears to have distracted him from the pet sitting duties he advertised on his profile, and we agreed to prior to my trip.. I hired Jon based on his high review scores, and glowing comments. I regret hiring him. I continue to find evidence of his lack of professionalism (empty food cartons from my kitchen….) When I returned, my back door was wide open ( not just unsecured, propped open with a weight), pets’ water bowl was dry, food in cat’s bowl was not based on instructions I left for him. My animals survived, to which I am grateful, but I would like to warn anyone who may be interested in hiring Jon.
