This was our first time getting a house and pet sitter, never mind through Rover, and Jon was great. Left the house nice and clean, sent us regular text message and photo updates, and was pretty quickly able to coax our scaredy-cat out of her hiding spots and get her fed regularly. (This was a particular concern of ours.) If he is still in the area next time we need a sitter, we will likely book him again.

Jon has been caring for not only my dogs and cats for almost 5 years, but also my mothers dog as well. He has provided them safe and loving care during planned vacations but has also been able to watch them during family emergencies. My dog is a very high energy dog who requires a lot of patience. My mothers dog is a very anxious 8lb Pomeranian who needs extra love. Jon has been great at providing them care, attending to their needs, and also keeping in touch and sending us photos. During one trip, my mothers dog needed a vet visit and once I set up the appointment and gave the vet permission to treat her, Jon took care of the rest and kept a close eye on her the following days. I also have two cats including one who is very shy and timid. Both cats have no problem with him and have warmed up to him within only a couple of visits.
